Owing to changes in terms of the government-sponsored programme of preferential car loans, Ford Sollers can now offer attractive financial conditions for almost the entire line of Ford cars and crossovers.

Within this programme, you can now buy not only Ford Fiesta, Ford Focus, and Ford EcoSport models, but also Ford Kuga compact SUV and Ford Mondeo business-class sedan.

For example, Ford Sollers gives buyers of a new Ford Kuga SUV a crucial chance of purchasing the car under the Ford Options scheme, where a customer is given an opportunity to renew the car, a guarantee of its repurchase by the dealer, and reduced monthly payments, from RUB 5,900 per month with allowance for the government programme. The minimum monthly payment under a Ford Options credit with the government-sponsored programme is RUB 5,800 for a Ford Mondeo business sedan.

For loyal customers who repeatedly purchase a car under the Ford Credit scheme, there is a special offer for renewing their Ford vehicles with a reduced interest rate.

Yet another project is the reconstruction and establishment of a plant for deep processing of grains. The project will be located in the Almetyevsk District (Novotroitskoye village); earlier, there was a Tatspirtprom plant closed in 2011.

The third one is a project of building a chemical enterprise for the production of paints and varnishes. The plant can be located in the territory of the SEZ Alabuga.

The fourth one is the project of creating a joint Russian-Turkish company for a large-scale assembly of feed mixers for livestock, with its subsequent localisation; it will be located in the Kama Industrial Park Master.

Today in Nizhnekamsk, the refinery of OAO TAIF-NK hosted a ceremonial event dedicated to the launch of its industrial wastewater local treatment plant after a large-scale reconstruction. The main goal of the project is to create a closed water recycling system. The project provides for the collection and purification of all industrial waste and storm waters both from existing facilities of TAIF-NK and the Heavy Residue Conversion Complex under construction. The event was attended by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.

The large innovative project for the reconstruction of the plant for local treatment of TAIF-NK industrial wastewater meets the most stringent present-day requirements. The treatment facilities are fully automated; they use the multi-stage purification technology comprising a pre-treatment unit, a physical/chemical treatment unit, a biological treatment unit, a desalting unit, a dehydration unit, and a unit for injecting salt-containing effluents into the absorption wells to a depth of 1.8 kilometres.

The supplier of the main biological treatment equipment is the Hungary branch of the world's leading manufacturer General Electric. The total cost of the reconstruction project was about RUB 4 billion. Due to their environmental focus, the company's treatment facilities are of high social importance.

The presentation of the Russia’s first ultra-fast charging station for electric buses took place at the Skolkovo Innovation Centre today, on June 6. A novelty product created by the Russian engineering company Drive Electro was presented by experts of KAMAZ.

A new charging station makes it possible to recharge the energy consumed along the route between two end stops in just six minutes. As a result, an electric bus can travel more than 300 kilometres a day. The charging station is unique in its compactness and opportunity of connecting to alternating or direct current grids (for instance, to a trolleybus one) and charging an electric bus in the automatic mode, without driver involvement.

The electric bus is equipped with the most advanced lithium-titanate batteries and belongs to the second generation of electric buses. The advantages of such batteries are in the fact that they are the only ones successfully being charged and operated at low temperatures, with a range varying from -45ºC to +40ºC. The battery is designed for at least 20,000 full DOD cycles, resulting in more than 15 years of intense operation. Moreover, the lithium-titanate batteries are fast chargeable without losing its resource. A KAMAZ-Drive Electro bus provides a life-cycle contract, and a battery warranty of over 8 years.

The Ford Sollers company sold 3,921 vehicles in Russia in May 2017, which is 12% higher than the last May’s sales results. In the five months of 2017, a total of 17,350 Russian-made Ford vehicles were sold.

The most popular Ford model in May was the Ford Focus (1,395 vehicles sold). Its sales grew by 53% compared to last May. The increase in demand for Ford Focus is justified by price reductions, which the company announced at the end of the first quarter, as well as the launch of the special White and Black series in February this year, whose share in Focus sales is growing every month. The new series, especially developed for the Russian market, successfully combines a stylish appearance, the most demanded equipment, and the best price for Russian buyers.

The Ford Kuga compact SUV ranked second (996 vehicles sold). Owing to the new Ford Kuga release, the sales of this model in May grew by 123% compared to last May. In its basic series, the compact crossover is powered by a 2.5-litre, 150HP engine in combination with a six-speed automatic transmission and a number of advanced technologies.

Moreover, the demand for the seven-seater Ford Explorer SUV and the Ford Transit light commercial vehicle enjoying stable popularity increased significantly compared to last year. In May 2017, a total of 182 Ford Explorer vehicles were sold (up 96% against last May) and 620 Ford Transit vehicles (up 34%).

The KAMAZ-master team won the Great Steppe-Don Rally, taking the first and the second places in the T4 category.

On Friday, June 2, the “Great Steppe-Don” Open Cup of the Volgograd Oblast for Automobile and Motorcycle Racing was officially started in Volgograd. It was attended by more than fifty riders, with a large number of representatives from Volgograd and the region. The competition was organised by the regional Committee for Physical Culture and Sports together with the Off-Road Enthusiasts Club.

The first and the second places of KAMAZ drivers in the T4 category was quite predictable in the absence of competition in the truck event. However, following the results of the three days of the race, the crews of Ayrat Mardeev (co-driver Dmitry Svistunov, mechanic Akhmet Galyautdinov) and Anton Shibalov (co-driver Dmitry Nikitin, mechanic Ivan Romanov) also ranked second and fifth, respectively, in the absolute competition.
