Today, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with Founder of Fort Ross Ventures Fund Victor Orlovsky.

The meeting took place within the framework of the Kazan Digital Week 2021 international forum (held at Kazan Expo).

They discussed the digitalisation of industry, the role of venture capital and start-ups in present-day economy, technology and business trends of 2021-2035.

At a today’s meeting of the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers, Victor Orlovsky presented a report dedicated to digitalisation of manufacturing industry.

Issues of further cooperation have been discussed today at a meeting between Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Director General of Positive Technologies Yury Maksimov.

The meeting took place at Kazan Expo within the framework of the Kazan Digital Week 2021 international forum.

Rustam Minnikhanov stressed that today such an area as cybersecurity must be given special attention.

The Tatarstan Government signed an agreement with Positive Technologies to ensure information security of the digital economy in Tatarstan (on June 2021 during SPIEF 2021).

Today, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with Chief Executive Officer & Executive Director of Coca-Cola HBC AG Zoran Bogdanovic.

The meeting took place within the framework of the Kazan Digital Week 2021 international forum (held at the Kazan Expo).

The parties discussed the results of cooperation and further plans to support major sporting events, development of an inclusive society and youth support including the legacy of the Special Olympics as the 2022 Games will be moved to 2023.

Zoran Bogdanovic expressed his gratitude for the long-standing mutually beneficial cooperation in various areas, such as separate waste collection, support for sports and development of an inclusive society. He pointed out that in regions with a favourable investment climate, businesses can implement tasks aimed at improving the quality of life in comfortable conditions.

Today, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with representatives of the Belarusian delegation and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Russian Federation Vladimir Semashko.

The delegation from Belarus is in Kazan on a working visit. The main purpose is to take part in the activities of the Kazan Digital Week 2021.

During the meeting with Rustam Minnikhanov they discussed further fruitful cooperation, implementation of joint projects in economy and industry.

The Republic of Belarus is one of the leading foreign partners of Tatarstan. Over the last years, Belarus has been consistently ranking among leading foreign trade partners of Tatarstan.

There is a cooperation agreement between the Republic of Belarus and Tatarstan as a region of the Russian Federation, and an action plan has been signed for 2021-2023. Cooperation is carried out in the fields of petrochemicals, mechanical engineering, agro-industrial sector and supply of agricultural machinery, high-tech, information, environment protection, and light industry.

SMIT (production of polyurethane foam insulated pipes for the heating and oil and gas industry) operates in the Alabuga SEZ with participation of Belarus capital.

Currently, a total of 18 Tatneft filling stations located in the Republic of Belarus.

Today, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov attended the Tatarstan Government meeting on “Digitalisation of Industry as a Driver for the Growth of Economy Competitiveness”. The meeting took place at the Kazan Expo venue.

The event was opened by Prime Minister of Tatarstan Aleksey Pesoshin. He stressed that comprehensive and consistent measures should be taken at the regional and municipal levels to ensure effective digital transformation of enterprises in the republic, with account taken for sectoral specifics. Prime Minister Pesoshin noted that such industrial enterprises as Tatneft, TAIF, and KAMAZ are highly advanced and prepared in matters of digitalisation in Tatarstan. These enterprises are the most systematic and effective ones in mastering the digital space.

Representatives of relevant companies make presentations on the digitalisation of enterprises. Managing Partner of Strategy Partners Group Aleksandr Idrisov presented a study on the readiness of enterprises in Tatarstan for digital future. Managing Director of Kalashnikov Concern Aleksey Tensin spoke about digital technologies as a tool for achieving high financial performance. Deputy Director General at Haier Fridge RUS Sergey Sedykh told about smart factory concept in the Haier Industrial Park and Haier operations in Naberezhnye Chelny. Founder of Fort Ross Ventures Victor Orlovsky presented technology and business trends of 2021-2035 and spoke about the role of venture capital and start-ups in today’s economy.

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Russian Minister of Digital Development, Communications, and Mass Media Maksut Shadaev took part in the opening of the Kazan Digital Week 2021 international forum. The event will take place from September 21 to 24 at Kazan Expo.

The mission of the forum is to create an annual platform for scientific, technical, and commercial communication of developers and users of digital transformation technologies, products, and services.

Minister Shadaev reminded that the Russian President declared digital transformation as one of the four objectives of national development. “Digitalisation should be introduced to a greater extent in our lives, in all sectors. It is very important that these plans should not remain on paper, but be implemented as intensively as possible,” the head of the Digital Development Ministry said.

Rustam Minnikhanov and Maksut Shadaev then visited an exhibition on the sidelines of the Kazan Digital Week. Russian and foreign companies presented their digital developments in healthcare, education, industry, agriculture, transport, traffic safety, communications, and other areas.

The forum’s programme will focus on digital smart technologies and innovative products created on their basis. The main areas are digital industry 4.0, intelligent transport systems, cybersecurity, fintech ecosystem, etc.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov chaired today the second meeting of the organising committee for the preparation and holding of the 2nd Republic’s Engineer of the Year contest in 2021. The meeting was held at the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan.

The meeting was attended by Chairman of the Council of the Union of Working Youth of Enterprises and Organisations in Tatarstan Aydar Sagetdinov, Director of the Kazan Open University of Talents 2.0 Aydar Akmalov, First Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of Tatarstan Aleksey Frolov, Deputy Minister of Transport and Roads of Tatarstan Ayrat Usmanov, Deputy Director General of the Tatarstan Association of Enterprises and Industrialists Igor Rassman, Deputy Head of the Tatmedia Press and Mass Communications Agency Eduard Khairullin, representatives of relevant ministries and leading Kazan universities.

The meeting discussed organisational issues relating to the holding of the 2nd republic’s Engineer of the Year contest in 2021. It was decided to extend the deadline for filing applications from contest participants to October 4, 2021.

The contest is held with the support from the Tatarstan President in order to raise public awareness, encourage and spread positive experience of the best republic’s engineers, and increase the attractiveness of engineering work among young people.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov had a videoconference meeting today with representatives of the Ministry of Investment and the Ministry of Energy and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The main purpose of the meeting was to discuss further interaction in the trade and economic sphere. The parties expressed interest in expanding partnerships in energy, automotive, helicopter, oil and gas, high-tech, and healthcare sectors. Pre-requisites exist for an expansion of ties in culture and tourism.

Such major Tatarstan enterprises as UK Yadran, KAMAZ, Tatneft, Tatkhimpharmpreparaty, and Kazanorgsintez are intensively cooperating with Kyrgyz partners. The following companies are also working on the opportunity of entering the Kyrgyz market: Tatspirtprom, PO ElAZ, and others.

In 2017, an agreement was signed between Tatarstan and the Kyrgyz Republic for trade, economic, scientific, technology, social, and humanitarian cooperation. Currently, a Tatarstan-Kyrgyz working group is now being elaborated and a draft road map for enhancing cooperation is being developed. The Tatarstan-Kyrgyz working group includes representatives from various organisations of Tatarstan.

The participants of the meeting agreed on the feasibility of holding such events on a regular basis to increase bilateral trade turnover and deepen trade and economic cooperation between the republics.

Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) with the support from the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade since August 4, 2021 launched a competitive accelerator programme to develop industrial tourism as a mechanism to improve the image of Russian companies and build up consumer loyalty to the products of Russian brands.

The contest was held among 53 constituent entities of Russia. Tatarstan formed a strong team as one of the 30 regions that were selected to take part in the Accelerator.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan selected 10 enterprises, including Tatspirtprom, KAMAZ, IT Park, Kukmor Felt Factory, ZF KAMA, Engineering and Production Centre, Kukmor Metal Ware Plant, Sabinsky Lespromkhoz, Vyksa Metallurgical Plant, Alsou Almetyevsk Hosiery Factory.

The acceleration programme has three modules, which include the formation of the region’s industrial tourism strategy, setting up of tours to enterprises, including virtual ones, as well as the development of excursion routes and their promotion.

Participation in the ASI project will make it possible to create new tourism programmes for enterprises and build a strategy for the development of industrial tourism in the region with the involvement of federal experts.

According to the results of the three modules of the selection stage, the developed programmes will be included in the offer of Russian tour operators and will be presented on the foreign markets. The finals of the ASI All-Russian Accelerator for Industrial Tourism are scheduled for December 2021.

On 31 May 2021, the Russian Government adopted Decree No. 841, which sets out the rules and deadlines for the introduction of packaged water marking.

According to the Decree, from 1 September 2021, producers, importers, wholesalers, and retailers of packaged water must register in the state information system for monitoring the turnover of goods through the Chestny Znak website. From 1 December, mineral water produced in or imported into Russia must be marked. From March 1, 2022, the same requirements will apply to other packaged drinking water.

In order to ensure that enterprises in Tatarstan are ready for the introduction of packaged water marking, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan held a meeting on 15 September with representatives of businesses producing packaged water, the Ministry of Agriculture and Foods of Tatarstan, and OOO Operator-CRPT, the single operator of goods marking system.

Within the framework of the meeting, all stages of introducing marking were described in detail to the enterprises; the issue of preparedness of the region’s producers for marking was also discussed in an open dialogue.

It should be noted that, as of today, 185 participants of packaged water turnover have already been registered in the State Information System for Monitoring of Goods Circulation in Tatarstan, including 20 producers and 3 importers.
