On November 18, the Pyramid Cultural and Entertainment Complex hosted a gala concert of the 5th Annual Open Republic’s TV Festival of Working Youth Creativity “Our Time - Beznen Zaman” with the participation of Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin.

A total of 1299 talented young professionals from 223 republic’s enterprises and organisations took part in the Festival. After a thorough selection process, young professionals working at industrial, agrarian, and trade enterprises from all over Tatarstan presented their best concert items to the guests of the evening.

During the Festival, the participants were given master classes in acting, stage movement, body mobility, stage speech, choreography, vocals, and compere from Tatarstan and Russian masters of the arts.

The Grand Prix of the 5th Annual Open Republic’s TV Festival of Working Youth Creativity “Our Time - Beznen Zaman” was won by the team of the Road Safety State Institution.

The IDF's Expert Council approved RUB 1.1 billion loans to seven enterprises in the Moscow, Smolensk, and Ivanovo regions, Tatarstan, Chuvashia, and the Khabarovsk Territory. The aggregate cost of projects exceeds RUB 4.7 billion; their implementation would create 355 new jobs.

OOO Organic Park, with the help of a joint loan from the IDF (RUB 59.5 million) and the Tatarstan Regional Industrial Development Fund (RUB 25.5 million), will increase the output of microbiological pesticides and agrochemicals in Kazan from 1,000 to 3,500 tonnes a year.

Before the Fund allocates funds at 5% per annum, the companies should sign loan agreements that record the parties’ obligations.

OOO Organic Park is a member of the Bionovatic Group, whose core activities are the production and introduction of agricultural preparations, such as biological plant protection products, biological fertilisers and anti-stress compositions for plant growing, entomophages, medicines and feed enzymes for livestock, soil restoration products. The enterprise sells its products and conducts experimental tests of the products in almost all Russia’s Top-30 agro holdings, and is represented in more than 26 regions of the Russian Federation.

Today in Kazan, the Gorbunov Kazan Aviation Plant (branch of PAO Tupolev) hosted ceremonial events dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the company. Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov, and many others came to congratulate the company’s staff. Within the framework of this event, a handover ceremony of upgraded Tu-160M to the flight test station took place.

The event was attended by Long-Range Aviation Commander Sergey Kobylash, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia Oleg Bocharov, President of the United Aircraft Corporation Yury Slyusar, and Director General of PAO Tupolev Aleksandr Konyukhov. The missile carrier was rolled out of a new hangar that was built under the plant reconstruction programme.

The aircraft construction procedures have been completed, among other things, for solving the problems of relaunching the Tu-160 production: restoration of final assembly technology, testing of some new process solutions, and development of enhanced aircraft engines. Its first flight is scheduled for February 2018.

 The relaunch of the Tu-160 production would ensure the upgrading of KAZ technology to country’s standards. The company’s design office has mastered paperless design procedures, the titanium electron-beam welding system was restored; the enterprise is being fitted out with new equipment of domestic origin.

Today, within the framework of the visit of a Kazakhstan business community delegation to the Republic of Tatarstan, a Russia-Kazakhstan business forum was held in the Korston Hotel and Mall. The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Aleksey Savelchev.

The Kazakhstan delegation is composed of 30 export-oriented companies, including representatives of the machine-building, pharmaceutical, food, construction, and metal industries. The forum also saw the presentation of the Kazakh Invest Company and government export trade funding programmes, presentations of Kazakhstan companies, opportunities for commercial cooperation, B2B meetings, and individual talks.

Today on November 15, the Meeting of the Project Committee for the Labour Productivity Strategic Development in the Russian Federation was held in Moscow under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Aleksandr Dvorkovich, during which Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov made a presentation of the regional programme to enhance labour productivity and support employment.

The Presidium of the Russian Presidential Council for Strategic Development and Priority Projects approved the passport of the priority programme titled “Enhancing Labour Productivity and Employment Support” and the priority project “Federal Competence Centre for Labour Productivity”. The Republic of Tatarstan was included in the number of pilot regions for implementing this programme (Protocol No. 9 of August 30, 2017).

In the Republic of Tatarstan, with the aim of executing the priority project “Improving Labour Productivity and Supporting Employment for 2017-2025”, the government programme “Assistance to Population Employment in the Republic of Tatarstan for 2014-2020” is being implemented, as approved by the Resolution of the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers No. 553 of 09.08.2013.

On December 8, the SEZ Alabuga will see an opening ceremony of the battery production plant to be launched by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov. This facility plans to have a Russia’s market share of 15% as early as in 2019.

The plant in the SEZ Alabuga will be opened on December 8 by Bars Technology, part of the Korib Group. As of now, this is the only facility in Russia with fully automated procedures for assembling car and truck batteries.

To ensure the high quality of Bars Technology products, a number of patented technologies are applied, such as the cold stamping technology used in the production of lead paste. In contrast to casting, this is an environmentally friendly process that ensures maximum protection against corrosion and allows preserving the lead structure. The final assembly of the finished batteries is made on a fully automated line.

By late 2019, Bars Technology intends to take 15% of the battery market in Russia. The target of the plant is to build up the production to 4 million batteries а year by 2022, thus becoming the leading player in Russia in the automotive battery market and a leading battery supplier to country's automotive manufacturers.

In October, Ford Sollers achieved a new sales record for the last 2 years. The company sold 4,837 vehicles, up 33% compared to last October. Since the beginning of the year, customers buy 39,733 vehicles, an increase by 15% compared to the first 10 months of 2016. The components of Ford's success in the Russian market are traditionally strong positions of the company in the C-class (Ford Focus) and the LCV segment (Ford Transit), as well as an advanced line of today's crossovers.

The strongest growth among Ford vehicles was shown by Ford Explorer sales. In October 2017, 238 SUVs were sold, the best result since the beginning of the year, an increase of 109% compared to October 2016.

The Ford Kuga smart crossover ranks second, a total of 1153 vehicles were sold during the month. Ford Kuga sales grew by 48% compared to last October; since January, 10,332 vehicles were sold, up 54% compared to the same period in 2016.

October was also the best month for the Ford Transit: 1,134 vehicles were sold. Vans and minibuses of this model enjoy steadily growing demand: compared to October last year, the growth was 72%, and in January to October, it was 65%. Since the beginning of the year, 7,115 Ford Transit vehicles have been sold.

On November 14 and 15, a delegation of Finnish companies headed by Finnish Ambassador to Russia Mikko Hautala visits Tatarstan.

The delegation also includes Finnish officials and representatives of 26 Finnish companies from different sectors of the economy, especially the education sector.

The purpose of their visit is to establish and strengthen cooperation between Finnish and Tatarstan companies, to seek new opportunities for cooperation, as well as to explore the investment potential in the region. In particular, the visit comprises the meeting of the Finnish-Tatarstan working group, meetings with officials of regional authorities, as well as many other events together with representatives of local companies, in order to familiarise and establish networking cooperation.

Within the framework of the forum, presentations of companies took place, business talks were held with Finnish companies in the fields of industrial equipment, construction and infrastructure, equipment for the food industry, equipment for the timber industry, logistics, educational services, business services, and targeted B2B meetings were conducted.

Further, the programme of the Finnish delegation provides for opening several cultural events timed to the centenary of the Finland’s independence.

On November 15 to 19, with the support from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan, the Kazan City Administration, the Tatarstan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Tatarstan Union of Entrepreneurs of Textile and Light Industry, the Kazanskaya Yarmarka Exhibition Centre will host the 32nd Specialised Exhibition of Light and Textile Industry Goods titled “Fashion and Style. Kazan - Autumn 2017”, which is one of the main events in Tatarstan for marketing the products of textile and light industries, establishing and strengthening business cooperation, and displaying fashion trends in the autumn/winter seasons.

This year, more than 120 companies from 12 regions of Russia, CIS, and non-CIS countries will take part in the exhibition. They will present a wide range of products of the autumn 2017 and winter 2017/2018 seasons.

Each year, the exhibition is attended by more than 9000 fashion industry experts, representatives of small and medium-sized businesses, officials of relevant ministries and agencies, as well as residents and guests of our city. The Fashion and Style Exhibition has established itself as a favourable project of inhabitants and visitors in Tatarstan, where one can study the current trends of contemporary fashion, learn the rules for creating stylish images, and get a lot of positive emotions.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan informs all those interested that in the period from November 15 to November 17, 2017, a delegation of the Kazakhstan business community will visit Tatarstan. It will be composed of representatives of the mechanical engineering, pharmaceutical, food, construction, and metal industries.

During the visit of the Kazakhstan delegation, a Russia-Kazakhstan Business Forum is scheduled to be held on November 16 at the Korston Hotel and Mall (Pushkin Hall), with an aim to strengthen the Kazakhstan-Tatarstan trade and economic cooperation.
