In keeping with the government programme titled “Development of the Civil Service in the Republic of Tatarstan and Municipal Service in the Republic of Tatarstan in 2014-2019”, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Aleksey Savelchev held a meeting with students of the Kazan State Power Engineering University.

At the meeting, Deputy Minister Savelchev spoke about the civil service, as well as about the main industrial development outcomes, particularly in the power sector. Within the framework of his speech, he announced the prospects of the power industry development (“the future lies in renewable energy and the Ministry is prepared to support up-to-date projects in this field”), as well as suggestions to future engineers.

The presentation ended with a Q&A session. The students actively discussed issues of establishing scholarships from the Ministry for the support of talented youth, employment of university graduates in large companies in the fuel and energy sector, and demand for skilled employees in the republic.

At the end of the meeting, the Deputy Minister advised future power engineers to start with blue-collar occupations, because they are most in demand in the republic, told about his own industrial experience and recalled his student years.

Under the contract with the State Transport Leasing Company (GTLK), the Russian Helicopters Holding has transferred the next batch of Mi-8MTV-1 medical helicopters manufactured by the Kazan Helicopters. Two aircraft equipped with medical modules will be operated in the Republic of Komi and the Nenets Autonomous District.

Both helicopters were transferred to customers within the framework of the top-priority project to ensure timeliness in providing emergency medical aid to citizens living in hard-to-access areas of Russia. In the near future, they will be received at their places of deployment to perform tasks for their intended purpose.

Until the end of 2017, within the framework of cooperation with the State Transport Leasing Company, 6 Mi-8 helicopters remains to be transferred, which are now at the technical acceptance stage. In total, Russian Helicopters should deliver 23 Mi-8 and 6 Ansat helicopters under the GTLK 2017 contract.

The multipurpose helicopters of Mi-8MTV-1 family have unique performance and operational characteristics; they can be used in almost all climatic zones. The design and equipment of the Mi-8MTV-1 helicopter allow operations with autonomous deployment from unprepared ground areas.

On November 23, the Autumn 2017 Career Fair opened in Building 7 of the KNRTU-KAI within the framework of the Autumn 2017 Career Days Youth Forum.

The event programme traditionally comprises a tour of the KNRTU-KAI museum, job fair for students and graduates of Kazan and Tatarstan universities, presentations of enterprises, organisations, and firms, providing guidance on issues of professional self-determination and personal development.

At the event opening ceremony, welcoming speeches were delivered by representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan and the Ministry of Labour, Employment, and Social Protection of Tatarstan.

A total of 53 enterprises from the republic and nearby regions took part in the Career Fair.

Today in the first half of the day, the Kazan IT Park hosted the 10th plenary meeting of the Russian-Austrian Business Council.

Welcoming the participants, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov noted that the geopolitical situation and sanctions have a certain negative impact on the economy of Russia and Tatarstan in particular, but “despite this, foreign businesses continue to enter our market and invest their funds”.

The plenary meeting of the Russian-Austrian Business Council in Kazan ended with the signing of a final Minutes between the Russian and Austrian sides. KNRTU-KAI signed a cooperation agreement with Austria-based AVL List GmbH in the field of software development for the automotive industry.

Also on this day at the end of the plenary session, the official delegation and co-chairs of the Russian-Austrian Business Council had a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov.

Vice-President of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber Richard Schenz thanked the hosts for the warm welcome extended to his delegation in Kazan and expressed confidence that relations between Tatarstan and Austria will be strengthened.

Then the parties discussed issues of further cooperation in a number of areas and outlined steps to joint solutions on topical issues.

From December 6 to December 8, 2017, the Kazanskaya Yarmarka exhibition centre will host the Volga Federal District’s largest international exhibition in the mechanical engineering and metalworking sector, the 17th International Specialised Exhibition “Mechanical Engineering. Metalworking. Kazan” and the 12th Specialised Exhibition “TechnoWelding”.

The organisers of this event are the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Stankoinstrument Russian Association of Machine Tool Manufacturers, the Tatarstan Association of Enterprises and Entrepreneurs, the Kazan City Administration, and the Kazanskaya Yarmarka. The events are held with the support from Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.

The Mechanical Engineering. Metalworking and TechnoWelding exhibitions are some of the significant regional events offering advanced solutions for the modernisation of the Russian mechanical engineering sector. The exhibition enjoys special attention from the authorities, global and Russian companies of the machine building and metalworking industries.

In addition, this year’s exhibition will be attended by more than 170 companies and enterprises from 13 countries. Companies of Belarus, Germany, and Czech Republic will be represented within the framework of their national displays.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan announces that an expanded meeting of the Russian-Austrian Business Council will be held on November 23 to 24 at the Kazan IT Park.

The RABC is a business club whose activities are aimed at the expansion of business contacts between the two countries and mutually beneficial promotion of their businesses to the markets of Austria and Russia. The programme of the Business Council scheduled for the meeting involves speeches at the Council’s Plenary Meeting of top-level officials from both the Russian and Austrian sides, a sectoral panel discussions between Russian and Austrian participants (engineering and infrastructure, energy and environment), exchange of business contacts between representatives of Russian and Austrian business communities, and visits to industrial enterprises and infrastructure facilities of Tatarstan.

Given the participation of a significant number of Austrian companies in the Business Council meeting, we invite businesses and industrial enterprises of Tatarstan to take part in the event.

According to the Regional Office of the Federal Statistics Service in Tatarstan, within the period of January to October 2017, the republic's enterprises shipped goods of their own production, performed jobs, and rendered services in the total amount of RUB 11,798,298.9 million at current prices. The industrial production index in October 2017, as compared to October 2016, was 99.5%; and in January to October 2017 y-o-y, 102.2%.

From 22 to 25 November 2017, Ufa, the capital of the Republic of Bashkortostan, will host the 25th Specialised Exhibition “LegProm-Ufa”.

The exhibition project organiser is the Bashkir Exhibition Company. The event will be held with the support from the Ministry of Industry and Innovation Policies of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the State Committee of the Republic of Bashkortostan for Trade and Consumer Protection, the Ufa City Administration, and the Bashkortostan Association of Light Industry Enterprises. Participation in the exhibition is a unique opportunity to present products for the republic’s market. LegProm-Ufa is the largest light industry exhibition project in the Republic of Bashkortostan.

Participants of the exhibition are manufacturers and distributors from Russia and the CIS countries. In 2016, more than 100 exhibitors from 12 regions of Russia and Belarus took part in the exhibition; 75.5% of them were manufacturers. The exhibition was attended by over 10,000 visitors. Within the framework of the event, participants are traditionally given the opportunity to show their collections of clothes on runways, promote their brands through master classes, competitions, and presentations.

The Training and Production Enterprise for Cardboard and Printed Products is one of the leaders in the production system of the Tatar Republic’s Organisation of the All-Russian Society of Disabled People (VOI). The enterprise was established in February 1941 with an aim of employing and training disabled people.

In 1999, the enterprise was transformed into UPP KPI. Since that time, a significant reconstruction of shops, departments, sections, and auxiliary premises has been made, and working conditions have been improved essentially. The company is consistently expanding its range of products. In order to increase production efficiency, advanced domestic and imported equipment is acquired; new printing industry production processes are mastered and introduced. To date, the company has a full range of equipment for full-colour large-format printing.

The equipment of UPP KPI allows printing products of any format, from business cards to advertising posters. Boasting of a complete production cycle from design to finished packaging, the company employs a flexible approach to customer requirements and shortens lead times. The company’s product range comprises more than 200 items.
