In keeping with the government programme titled “Development of the Civil Service in the Republic of Tatarstan and Municipal Service in the Republic of Tatarstan in 2014-2019”, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Aleksey Savelchev held a meeting with students of the Kazan State Power Engineering University.

At the meeting, Deputy Minister Savelchev spoke about the civil service, as well as about the main industrial development outcomes, particularly in the power sector. Within the framework of his speech, he announced the prospects of the power industry development (“the future lies in renewable energy and the Ministry is prepared to support up-to-date projects in this field”), as well as suggestions to future engineers.

The presentation ended with a Q&A session. The students actively discussed issues of establishing scholarships from the Ministry for the support of talented youth, employment of university graduates in large companies in the fuel and energy sector, and demand for skilled employees in the republic.

At the end of the meeting, the Deputy Minister advised future power engineers to start with blue-collar occupations, because they are most in demand in the republic, told about his own industrial experience and recalled his student years.
