Within his working visit to Moscow, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting today with Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov.
At the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov and Denis Manturov discussed the implementation of a number of joint field-specific programmes, as well as future interaction between Tatarstan and the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade in 2018.
The Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation visited the Republic of Tatarstan in January this year. Denis Manturov inspected a number of Kazan enterprises and their products, namely the Simonov Experimental Design Bureau and the Kazan Aircraft Plant.
Mass outages in the 6-10 kV electric grids were recorded today, on February 5, due to a significant deterioration in weather conditions.
Later by 16.00, the work on restoring power supply to consumers was completed. The losses were minimised owing to the prompt and well-coordinated actions of 36 teams (consisting of 104 people and 36 units of special equipment) from 4 branches of Grid Company.
The company continues to maintain a 24-hour centre to coordinate the restoration of the regular power supply. In order to exclude further risks during climatic loads, the power supply of socially significant and life support facilities has been taken under special control in all municipal districts of Tatarstan.
Today in Makhachkala, a delegation from Tatarstan, headed by its President Rustam Minnikhanov, had a meeting with Head of Dagestan Vladimir Vasiliev.
Within the framework of the meeting, the leaders of the two regions signed the Agreement on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technology, and Cultural Cooperation and the Action Plan for its implementation.
On the same day, Minister of Industry and Trade of Dagestan Yusup Umavov and Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Almaz Khusainov signed agreements on cooperation between the two organisations.
Similar agreement on cooperation was signed between agrarian agencies by Minister of Agriculture and Food of Dagestan Kerimkhan Abasov and Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan Oleg Zemskov.
In addition, representatives of the regions agreed to collaborate on using the Stock Market procurement system. The relevant agreement was signed by Acting Head of the Agency for Entrepreneurship and Investment Bashir Magomedov and Director General of the Tatarstan Agency for State Orders Yakov Geller.
The delegation from Tatarstan, headed by its President, arrived in Dagestan to discuss particular areas of cooperation. Within its programme, the delegation visited the MFC office in Makhachkala and a number of industrial facilities in Dagestan.
On February 4, pursuant to the decision by the Tatarstan President, a High Alert Regime was announced for State authorities, local governments and enterprises in Tatarstan. The Grid Company has established a 24-hour centre headed by its Technical Director Ilshat Galimzyanov for the prevention and mitigation of emergencies.
On February 5, from 06:00 to the present time, due to unfavourable weather conditions (wet snow, ice rain, snowstorm, ice and strong wind gusting to 19-25 m/s) massive power outages were recorded in 6-10 kV distribution grids.
At 10:00, Tatarstan saw outages in 10 overhead power lines (6-10 kV), 266 transformer substations (6-10 kV) and 72 settlements. The bad weather effects was experienced by residents of the Buinsky, Tetyushsky, Kamsko-Ustyinsky, Zelenodolsky, Vysokogorsky, Pestrechinsky, Arsky, Alekseyevsky, Spassky, and Novosheshminsky districts and the city of Kazan. More than 15,000 people remained without electricity.
A total of 36 teams consisting of 104 people and 36 units of special equipment are involved in the emergency recovery work. It is carried out by professionals from the Buinsk, Kazan, Privolzhsky and Chistopol electrical grids. In order to avoid further risks during climatic loads, preventive measures are also taken in other areas of the republic.
By decision of the Kazan Helicopters' Board of Directors, Yuri Pustovgarov was appointed the new company's Director General. Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Industrial Director of the Rostec Aviation Cluster Anatoly Serdyukov and Director General of Russian Helicopters Andrey Boginsky introduced the new head to the company's staff. Vadim Ligay, who held this post since 2007, was appointed Deputy Director General for Infrastructure Development of the Russian Helicopters Holding.
Rustam Minnikhanov thanked Vadim Ligay for his fruitful work as head of the Kazan Helicopters. The Tatarstan President stressed that Vadim Ligay paid great attention to training professionals in the aircraft industry and to socio-political life of the republic in general.
Vadim Ligay worked at the Kazan Helicopters for all his life, starting his career at the enterprise in 1976 as a design engineer and move up through the ranks to the Director General’s position. Under his leadership, a number of significant projects were implemented.
Yury Pustovgarov, the new director of the Kazan Helicopters, was the Managing Director of KumAPP, another part of the Russian Helicopters Holding, since December 2015.
Today, the TANECO staff conference was held, during which they summed up the company’s production activities, the fulfilment of the 2017 Collective Agreement, and outlined the tasks for 2018.
The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov, Chairman of the Tatneft Trade Union Committee Gumar Yarullin, and head of the Nizhnekamsk Municipal District Aydar Metshin.
The audience noted the 2017 landmark event, the 50-millionth tonne of crude oil processed at TANECO.
The tasks for 2018 were announced by Leonid Alekhin, Director General of TANECO. Among the main ones, he listed the ensuring of industrial and environmental safety of production; processing of raw materials in accordance with the approved plans on the volume, conversion depth, and yield of light oil products; commissioning of kerosene hydrotreating unit, diesel hydrotreating unit, catalytic cracking unit, and CDU-AVT-6; the start of the Regular-92 and Premium-95 gasoline production.
The delegates to the conference adopted the TANECO Collective Agreement for 2018. The best employees of the enterprise were awarded republic’s, municipal, and corporate prizes.

The Alnas plant, part of the Rimera Group, supplied a large batch of complete electric centrifugal pump (ESP) units to PDVSA, the Venezuelan state-owned oil company.
Under the terms of the contract, the Almetyevsk enterprise of the Rimera Group fulfilled the order for the production and shipment of a large batch of ESPs for the Petróleos de Venezuela. The shipment of the supplied equipment includes compression-type pumps of the 0615 series (size 5A) with increased wear resistance and corrosion-resistant pumps of the 0215 series (size 5A). The pumps are equipped with 110 kW submersible motors and new tandem seal sections specifically designed by Alnas engineers for the customer’s technical requirements and capable of absorbing the pump shaft axial load of up to 7,000 kg.
Equipment manufactured by Alnas is intended for complicated oil production conditions, has excellent pressure and energy characteristics and high reliability. Before shipment, the products have successfully passed an inspection check for the compliance with all customer requirements.
According to the Regional Office of the Federal Statistics Service in Tatarstan, within the period of January to December 2017, the republic's enterprises shipped goods of their own production, performed jobs, and rendered services in the total amount of RUB 2,254,180.1 million in current prices. The industrial production index in January to December 2017 was 101.8% y-o-y.
The first batch of 42 dump trucks was delivered to the customer within the framework of the Decree for KAMAZ Truck Purchase signed by Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in September 2017 during the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to the country. According to the document, the Turkmenistan Ministry of Road Transport will buy a total of 250 KAMAZ-6520 trucks from the Russian automotive industry leader. Another 208 dump trucks of the same model with a 6x4-wheel formula and body volume of 20 cubic metres will be delivered to the country within a year. The trucks will be used to replenish the vehicle fleet at the enterprises of the Ministry of Road Transport and will be distributed to all velayats of Turkmenistan.
Since July 2008, a 5,000-sq.m. KAMAZ training and service centre is operated in Ashgabat. In addition to the supply of vehicles and their full maintenance, including diagnostics and overhaul, the Turkmenistan experts are trained at the centre in KAMAZ vehicles’ specific features, operation, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs.
