The Exhibition opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia Oleg Bocharov, Chairman of the Scientific and Technical Council of Rostec Corporation Yuriy Koptev, Prime Minister of Tatarstan Aleksei Pesoshin, Member of the Russian Civic Chamber academician Boris Aleshin, Assistant to the Tatarstan President Ravil Zaripov, Tatarstan Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, and other officials.

The International Specialised Exhibition “Aerospace Technologies, Advanced Materials, and Equipment” witnessed today a number of landmark events for the aircraft industry of Tatarstan.

Tatarstan Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov and Director of the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Technical Physics (VNIITF) Mikhail Zheleznov signed the Cooperation Agreement.

The 4th Congress of Aviation Industrialists of Russia was opened by Prime Minister of Tatarstan Aleksei Pesoshin. In his welcoming speech, he drew attention to the importance of the introduction and development of digital technologies in the aircraft industry, mentioned the upgrading of the Kazan Aviation Plant, which is necessary for the relaunch of the Tu-160 strategic bomber production.

On August 8, within the framework of the AKTO 2018 international exhibition, Kazan hosted the award ceremony of the Russian Aircraft Industry Worker of the Year 2017 contest. A total of 154 applications from 90 aircraft and aerospace companies were submitted for the contest. The geography of the participants is from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok. In total, 9 categories were announced.

In the category “Training New Generation of Aircraft Industry Professionals in Higher Education Institutions”, the diploma winner was the Lyceum No. 35 - Galaktika Education Centre of the Privolzhsky District of Kazan for its contribution entitled “Early Career Guidance System for Aviation Industry through the Example of the Additional Education Department under the Aerospace Education Centre”.

The diploma winner in the category “Creation of New Technology” was the Kazan Aviation Plant (branch of PAO Tupolev) for its contribution entitled “Restoration of the Lost Electron-Beam Welding Technology with Subsequent Vacuum Annealing of Large-Format Parts Made of Titanium Alloys”.

August 8 saw the opening of new production facilities at the White Kremlin brewery in Chistopol. Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov witnessed the completion of the commissioning operations. From the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade, the event was attended by Deputy Minister Almaz Khusainov.

The construction of a brewery with a total floor space of ​​more than 153,000 square metres was started in the Chistopol Industrial Park in June 2017, while in June 2018 the first beer was cooked. Equipment for the brewery was supplied by Krones AG, Germany's leading specialist company for the design, manufacture, and installation of equipment for bottling, canning, and packaging. The plant production capacity is 10 million dekalitres a year with an option for further expansion. In total, the company created about 270 new jobs.

The cost of the project is estimated at RUB 5.6 billion, of which 76.4% are financial assets of Sberbank, and the rest are the company's own funds. The loan amount is RUB 4.2 billion. The loan agreement between Tatspirtprom and Bank Tatarstan of Sberbank was signed in March 2018.

The White Kremlin will be the first plant to develop industrial tourism in Tatarstan. The brewery has a beer museum, which is included in the sightseeing programme for the tourists visiting the republic.

Today, the delegation of Turkish manufacturing companies visited the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade as part of their working visit to Tatarstan. The meeting was held by Albert Karimov jointly with Chairman of the State Committee of Tatarstan for Tourism Sergey Ivanov and Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of Tatarstan in Turkey Albert Yalyshev.

The cooperation between Tatarstan and Turkey is one of the top priorities in the foreign economic activities of Tatarstan. Tatarstan-Turkish relations are successfully developing in mechanical engineering and production of automotive components, petrochemicals, power engineering, and other fields. Traditionally, one of the priority areas for cooperation between Tatarstan and Turkey is the light industry.

In 2017, the foreign trade turnover between Tatarstan and Turkey amounted to US$ 303.9 million (US$ 73.5 million in Q1 2018).

“The unfailing interest in the development of cooperation is demonstrated by the enterprises of our republics. This is confirmed by continuous visits of officials and business persons from both sides. Your visit also demonstrates the potential for the development of our existing ties. I would like to emphasise that Tatarstan is always open for new projects, and we are prepared to support our partners in implementing them”, the Minister said.

The major International Specialised Exhibition “Aerospace Technologies, Advanced Materials, and Equipment” opened today its doors for visitors and will continue until August 10. Day One of the exhibition was devoted to close communication of the industry’s scientific community and business meetings of aerospace experts.

The Exhibition’s morning programme was opened by the All-Russian Scientific and Applied Conference with International Participation “New Technologies, Materials, and Equipment for the Russian Aerospace Industry” dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the outstanding aircraft designer Andrei Tupolev.

More than 250 delegates attended the conference and thematic sections; they include leading Russian and foreign experts in the field of aerospace technologies and equipment, major scientists, post-graduates and students of universities.

The AKTO Exhibition is held biannually, in between the MAKS international air show also held once in two years. Unlike MAKS, however, AKTO deals with production and technology aspects of aerospace and aircraft-building industry. This year AKTO is devoted to digitalisation of Russia’s aircraft building industry and the work of its enterprises under the conditions of Industry 4.0.

Yesterday, a meeting of the Organising Committee of the 6th Republic’s Annual Open Festival of Working Youth Creativity “Our Time - Beznen Zaman” was held in the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade under the chairmanship of Minister Albert Karimov.

The event was attended by Tatarstan Minister of Culture Irada Ayupova, Acting Chairman of the Tatarstan Federation of Trade Unions Tatyana Vasilyeva, First Deputy Minister for Youth Affairs of Tatarstan Timur Suleimanov and other members of the Organising Committee. Within the meeting, the schedule of the 6th TV Festival of Working Youth Creativity was discussed and approved, as well as the composition of the jury, the working group, and the festival timelines.

The “Our Time - Beznen Zaman” is the Republic’s annual open TV festival of working youth that has been held in Tatarstan with the support from the President of the Republic since 2013. The Festival is a socially significant governmental project that has no commercial purposes. The mission of the Festival is to shape a new generation of professionals, popularise blue-collar and white-collar jobs, and uncover the creative potential of young people working in republic’s enterprises and organisations.

Today, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan hosted a meeting of the Committee to Combat Illicit Trafficking in Industrial Products. Its agenda is dedicated to joining the project of incoming quality control for cabling and wiring products at social facilities under construction.

The use of counterfeit cabling and wiring products that do not meet the technical specifications can cause serious consequences – from equipment malfunctions to life-threatening emergencies, such as fires.

At the end of December last year, at a meeting of the Russia’s State Committee to Combat Illicit Trafficking in Industrial Products, it was decided to implement, in some regions of the country, an incoming quality control of cabling and wiring products at social facilities under construction.

The pilot project was supported by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov. He gave instructions for its implementation in Tatarstan and for the creation of a relevant sectoral working group under the republic’s Committee to Combat Illicit Trafficking in Industrial Products.

From August 8 to 10, the Kazanskaya Yarmarka Exhibition Centre will host the 9th International Specialised Exhibition “Aerospace Technologies, Advanced Materials, and Equipment” (AKTO 2018) held biannually since 2002. The Exhibition organisers are the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers, the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Kazan City Administration, OAO Aviasalon (Moscow), the Kazanskaya Yarmarka and the Union of Aviation Industrialists of Russia, with the support from Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.

The exhibition will present unique technologies, materials and equipment for aircraft construction, helicopter construction, small aircraft, aircraft engine and instrument engineering, as well as high-precision and science-intensive equipment for maintenance of aircraft in the aerospace industry.

The programme of the AKTO Exhibition will feature many significant and unique events for the industry. For the first time, the 4th Congress of Aviation Industrialists of Russia will be held in Kazan. In addition, the exhibition days will see a meeting of heads of the Rostec Corporation offices located in the Volga Federal District and the 6th meeting of the special Russian-Chinese standardisation working group. There also will be a traditionally significant AKTO event, the All-Russian Scientific and Applied Conference with International Participation titled “New Technologies, Materials, and Equipment for the Russian Aerospace Industry” conducted by KNRTU-KAI.

Within the framework of the AKTO 2018 exhibition (“Aerospace Technologies, Advanced Materials, and Equipment”), Pavilion No. 1 of the Kazanskaya Yarmarka Exhibition Centre (8, Orenburgsky Trakt, Kazan), will host, for the first time in Kazan, an exclusive interactive exhibition of the Aircraft Industry Worker of the Year contest.

From August 5 to August 10, a delegation from the Tomsk Oblast, headed by Tomsk Oblast Deputy Governor for Industrial Policies Igor Shaturny, will make a working visit to Tatarstan.

The delegation includes representatives of executive authorities and enterprises of the region.

The mission of the visit is the participation in the 9th International Specialised Exhibition “Aerospace Technologies, Advanced Materials, and Equipment”, the 4th Congress of Aviation Industrialists of Russia and the All-Russian Scientific and the All-Russian Scientific and Applied Conference with International Participation “New Technologies, Materials, and Equipment for the Russian Aerospace Industry”. The members of the delegation will also consider issues of cooperation in the sphere of industrial production and forestry.
