A meeting of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan headed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov was held today on the sidelines of the Tatarstan Energy & Resource Efficiency Forum (TEF 2019). The event moderated by First Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan Rustam Nigmatullin was also attended by Russian Deputy Minister of Energy Anton Inyutsyn.

At the meeting, Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov made a report summing up the main results of the republic’s energy sector in 2018, and spoke about new challenges and tasks in the sector.

Other speakers included Anton Inyutsyn with a report on “Gas Fuel Market Development in Russia”, Director General of OOO Danfoss Mikhail Shapiro with a report on “Implementing Energy Efficiency Projects Based on Danfoss Digital Solutions Using Artificial Intelligence”, Advisor to Deputy Chairman of the System Operator of the Unified Power System Ksenia Datsko, and other officials. Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov delivered a closing speech at the meeting.

The meeting of the Tatarstan Government was concluded by traditional winners’ award ceremony of the Republic’s contest for the best achievements in the field of energy saving and enhancing energy efficiency in 2018, as well as of the Republic’s contest among mass media outlets on the coverage and promotion of energy saving and enhancing energy efficiency activities.

The opening ceremony of the Tatarstan Energy & Resource Efficiency Forum (TEF 2019) took place today at the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Centre.

The ceremony was attended by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Anton Inyutsyn, First Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan Rustam Nigmatullin, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov, and head of Enel Russia Carlo Palashano Villamagna.

TEF 2019 comprises the 19th International Symposium “Energy & Resource Efficiency and Energy Saving” and the 20th International Specialised Exhibition “Energy. Resource Saving”, which have established themselves as leading energy-related events in the Volga Federal District. Thus, the forum changed both its venue and format.

In his welcoming speech, Rustam Minnikhanov noted: “Resource saving in the today’s world is the main element of competitiveness and efficiency. Everything associated with the energy sector is associated with a multitude of new technology solutions. I wish our Forum a wonderful work, so that companies find new partners and be useful to each other”.

Today, a working meeting took place at the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan between Deputy Minister Aleksey Savelchev and Minister of Industry and Geology of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Maksim Tereshchenko. During their visit to TEF 2019, the counterparts from the Yakutia Ministry showed interest in the republic’s experience in implementing the programme “Development of the Gas-Motor Fuel Market in Tatarstan in 2013-2023”, as well as in the conversion of vehicles to run on gas motor fuel and acquisition of such vehicles.

It is important to note that Tatarstan has 20 NGV filling stations and 1 mobile gas filling station in the Mendeleyevsk Municipal District. The exhibition at the Tatarstan Energy & Resource Efficiency Forum 2019, to be held from April 10 to 12 at the Kazan Expo Centre, will display automotive and agricultural vehicles running on natural gas.

 

 

Today, the Ministry hosted the second meeting of the Interdepartmental Working Group for the Review and Evaluation of Investment Projects and Applications by Organisations Implementing Restructuring and Upgrading of Activities in Accordance with Investment Projects towards the proactive professional training of employees in 2019. The event was chaired by Deputy Minister Almaz Khusainov. The meeting considered investment projects of seven enterprises. As a result, a number of applications were agreed and approved from enterprises engaged in mechanical engineering, chemical and light industries, and production of building materials.

The Forum was composed of two annual sectoral events, the 20th International Specialised Exhibition “Energy. Resource Saving” and the 19th International Symposium “Energy & Resource Efficiency and Energy Saving”. For the first time, the Forum will be held in the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Centre; the opening ceremony will take place on April 10 at 08.00 with the participation of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov. This was discussed today at a press conference announcing the Tatarstan Energy & Resource Efficiency Forum 2019.

The business programme of the Forum comprises about 20 round tables, business meetings and panel discussions. Issues of the digital economy and smart energy metering will be discussed at the round table to be held by the Tatarstan Grid Company. The guests from other regions will also talk about the problems of power supply network development in Russia. Production, transportation, and distribution of thermal resources will be discussed at the Tatenergo round table. The company will also share its experience of utilities debt collection.

In addition, the guests to the event will be able to take part in a cyber-security business game and hear lightning talks of scientists and teachers from the Kazan Power Engineering University on energy efficiency and energy saving.

The exhibition will feature gas-powered vehicles, in particular, unique agricultural samples on display.

Minister Karimov held a meeting today with the representatives of republic’s companies, which was dedicated to the Kazan Marathon annual sports competition.

Since 2015, Kazan has been hosting an international-level running event titled “Kazan Marathon”, which is aimed at promoting mass sports and a healthy lifestyle among the republic’s population. The project was supported by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and the Tatarstan Government.

On May 5, 2019, the Kazan Marathon 2019 international athletics competition will be held, the concept of which is based on the example of the largest international running events. As part of the competition, the following races will be organised: the TimerBaby pre-walker race, the TimerKids children's race, 3 kilometres, 10 kilometres, 21.1 kilometres, and 42.2 kilometres. In total, approximately 30,000 athletes and jogging enthusiasts from all over the world will start out at the event.

One of the important programme elements is the Corporate League, the main objective of which is to create conditions for corporate (joint) participation of teams from enterprises and organisations of Tatarstan in mass sports events.

In the period from April 1 to April 6, 2019, competitions in 15 skills assigned to the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan took place in Moscow, Yaroslavl, the Ivanovo Region, the Ulyanovsk Region, and the Khabarovsk Territory. Of these, competitions in 7 skills were held in Moscow, 2 skills in Ivanovo Region, 4 skills in Yaroslavl Region, 2 skills in Ulyanovsk Region, where the semi-finals became finals in three skills.

In the period from April 8 to April 12, the semi-finals in 6 assigned skills will be held within the framework of the 7th National WorldSkills Russia Competition in Ulyanovsk and Khabarovsk Territory.

The 15 skills assigned to the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan for current competitions are as follows: Drone Operating - Juniors, Drone Operating, Polymechanics and Automation, Space Systems - Juniors (14-16), Laser Technology - Juniors, Fashion Technology - Juniors (12-14), Fashion Technology - Juniors (14-16), Automobile Technology, Autobody Repair, Mechatronics (backup), Mechatronics - Juniors, Welding, Chemical Analysis Service - Juniors, Chemical Analysis Service, and CNC Milling.

At the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan, Albert Karimov held a meeting with top executives of Pretl-NK. During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of the company’s government support, including programmes for funding the projects aimed at introducing digital and technology-based solutions.

Last week, Russia's largest gas motor service centre, RariTEK, opened its doors to guests from various countries. At present, the entire methane-powered fleet of Naberezhnye Chelny is served here. However, the RariTEK Technical Centre aims for more – it can serve all gas-powered vehicles in the republic, which is more than 5,000 buses, trucks, and special machinery.

The unique facility was visited today by Deputy Chairman of Gazprom Board Vitaly Markelov, Director General of KAMAZ Sergey Kogogin, Executive Vice President of Cavagna Group Rino Cavagna, CEO of Power and Gas Division at Siemens AG Meixner Willibald, and other guests.

The delegation was composed of more than 200 representatives of large foreign and domestic businesses interested in the gas conversion of transport to improve its environmental friendliness and reduce financial costs.

At the close of many-hour tour of the RariTEK Technical Centre, all guests attended the Working Committee meeting of the International Business Congress “Up-to-Date Technologies and Promising Projects in the Petrochemical Complex” moderated by Deputy Chairman of Gazprom Board Vitaly Markelov.

Today in Naberezhnye Chelny, the IT Park site is hosting a workshop for top executives of industrial enterprises titled “Digitalisation of Production Processes: Practical Solutions”.

The event was attended by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Director for Strategic Planning and Development of Renova-Holding Rus Oleg Fomichev, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov, Minister of Information and Communications of Tatarstan Roman Shaikhutdinov, Aide to the Tatarstan President Albert Nafigin, and others.

Speaking at the event, Rustam Minnikhanov emphasised that the rapid growth of digital technologies today has a significant impact on all areas of activities. Every industry is undergoing a digital revolution that drives companies to transform. The key role here is traditionally given to industrial enterprises, the Tatarstan President noted. In order to involve the real sector of the economy in the development and implementation of digital technologies, Tatarstan cooperates with leading digitalisation centres of Russia and global companies.

At the same time, the Tatarstan President stated the low involvement of republic’s enterprises in the digitalisation processes. According to experts, only a third of Tatarstan companies have set the benchmarks for the digital transition.
