Today, Minister Karimov visited the competition sites located in the territory of the Kazan Expo IEC, which hosts the finals of the 7th National Young Professionals Competition (WorldSkills Russia). In total, 45 skills are assigned to the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan.

The Minister made a tour of such sites as Automobile Technology, Heavy Vehicle Maintenance, Aerospace Engineering, Laser Technology, Manufacturing Team Challenge, Plastic Die Engineering, and others. During the visit, Albert Karimov studied the competition progress, met with major skills experts and talked with compatriot experts from Tatarstan. Competitions are held according to the Action Plan; all participants are working on the sites.

May 23, 2019 is the final day of the Competition. On May 24, the Tatneft Arena will host the closing ceremony of the 7th National WorldSkills Russia Competition.

The Republic of Tatarstan has laid the foundation for the full-scale production of MV-500 aircraft, which will be sold under the brand name T-500. The aircraft will be manufactured by a MVEN plant. The launching ceremony for the MVEN plant construction was held on May 22 in Innopolis. The event was attended by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov, as well as executives of the Rostec Corporation: CEO Sergey Chemezov, Deputy Director Aleksandr Nazarov, and Industrial Director Sergey Abramov.

The project for the serial production of T-500 airplanes is being carried out jointly by Rostec Corporation and Tatarstan as part of an agreement for implementing a pilot project for the creation and development of an all-Russian aerial application system, which was signed at MAKS 2017. Start of plant operation is scheduled for 2022, the rated production capacity is up to 100 aircraft per year.

MV-500 is an up-to-date aircraft for aerial application. It has a composite glider and can be operated in different climatic conditions. The aircraft can be used for environmental monitoring, inspection of large industrial facilities, weather control, forest pest control, and petroleum products spill response.

On September 6, 2018, the aircraft received a type certificate and became the first certified agricultural aircraft in the history of contemporary Russia.

Tatarstan is hosting a business delegation from Thuringia (Germany). Within the framework of the visit, the 3rd meeting of the Tatarstan-Thuringia working group was held today at the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan.

The subject of discussion at the working group meeting was issues related to the implementation of previously identified joint projects and promising areas.

In his opening speech, Minister for Economic Affairs, Science, and Digital Society Wolfgang Tiefensee said that there is a good foundation for bilateral relations now and they need to be expanded through the implementation of new joint projects.

At the working group meeting, the parties indicated their intention to work purposefully on various projects, primarily in the field of production digitalisation.

In addition, the parties discussed issues of mutual partnership in such areas as mechanical engineering and industrial equipment production, ICT, digital technology, renewable energy sources. The regions support the development of cooperation in the field of vocational education and advanced training.

At the end of the meeting, agreements were signed between the Regional Institute of Advanced Technologies and Business and the Erfurt Educational Centre.

Today, within the framework of the working group meeting for pharmaceutical and medical industry development in Tatarstan, the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade presented the production technology of electron-beam accelerators intended for the sterilisation of medical products. This technology was developed by an international company; in Russia it is represented by Complex Luch from St. Petersburg. The event was chaired by Deputy Minister Aleksey Savelchev.

The meeting also discussed the issue of organising joint educational projects with leading industry-related universities. In addition, the company has expressed an interest in localising production in a technopark in one of the republic’s special economic zones.

On May 20, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Ildar Mingaleyev had a meeting with the participants of the field innovative educational project sponsored by the State and Municipal Administration Department of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation. During the meeting, students learned about the industrial and commercial potential of the republic, and were able to ask their questions.

For the second year, students of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation come to Tatarstan within the educational programme titled “Study Tour: Expertise of Regional Administration in the Russian Federation. Republic of Tatarstan: Industrial Cluster Management”. The educational project programme includes visits to key industrial sites of various industries, such as Tatneft, TANECO, KAMAZ, Kazan Helicopters, SEZ Alabuga, and others.

From May 17 to May 19, a Tatarstan delegation headed by Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov visited Tashkent (Republic of Uzbekistan). The visit was devoted to cooperation development between Tatarstan and Uzbekistan.

The partner relations of Tatarstan and Uzbekistan are currently conducted in various areas – work is underway on the industrial park in the Tashkent Region, cooperation is developing in the supply of tyre products, diesel fuel, jet fuel, motor oils, creation of a vehicle testing ground, and a KAMAZ service centre in the Tashkent Region.

During the visit, the Tatarstan delegation visited the booths of republic’s enterprises at the 23rd Oil and Gas of Uzbekistan International Exhibition, which takes place in the UzExpoCentre (Tashkent) on May 15-17. The exhibition is dedicated to the latest technology, engineering, and software developments for oil and gas companies.

The Tatarstan delegation also took part in the round table discussion hosted by the International Trade Centre (ITC), where it was welcomed by First Deputy Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Alisher Abduvaliev.

Representatives of Tatarstan and Uzbekistan businesses also made presentations at the round table. They spoke about the potentials of their companies and discussed opportunities for mutual cooperation.

On May 18, 2019, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan honoured the veterans as part of the events celebrating the 74th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. On behalf of the Ministry, the veterans were congratulated by Tatarstan Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Ildar Mingaleyev. They received gift certificates and greeting cards, as well as letters of acknowledgment from Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov. The event ended with a festive dinner and a concert programme for veterans.

On May 15-16, the delegation of Tatarstan headed by President Rustam Minnikhanov visited the Republic of Turkey. The President was accompanied by Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov.

During the visit, the delegation headed for Bursa and Istanbul, where they had meetings with senior officials of Turkish provinces and representatives of local businesses, as well as visited a number of enterprises.

On May 15, the Tatarstan Presidential delegation arrived at the Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry to meet with Governor of Bursa Province Yakup Canbolat and discuss the prospects for mutual cooperation between Tatarstan and Turkey.

The next event for the Tatarstan delegation was a visit to the Bursa Organised Industrial Zone and tours of three industrial companies there.

On May 16, guests from Tatarstan also attended the Tatarstan-Turkey Business Forum. The Forum ended with signing of a number of documents on cooperation between Turkish and Tatarstan companies.

An important point of the current visit to Turkey is the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency and the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB).

Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Almaz Khusainov came to support the participants to the finals of the 7th WorldSkills Russia National Competition. The meeting took place at the Regina country hotel.

Almaz Khusainov answered all the questions of concern to the contestants, and also expressed his gratitude to participants of the competition and congratulated the winners on reaching the finals.

“You have performed well in the semifinals and achieved certain results. I would like to congratulate you on reaching the finals of the Russia National Competition – this is already a victory! I am sure that owing to your participation in the competitions you learned a lot about your vocations, developed new skills, showed your capabilities, talents, and gained invaluable competitive experience”.

The finals of the 7th National Young Professionals Competition (WorldSkills Russia 2019) will be held in Kazan from May 20 to 24, 2019 on 92 skills (including 56 skills of the World Competition) and 48 WorldSkills Juniors skills. In total, 87 contestants and 70 experts in the skills assigned to the Ministry will take part in the finals.

The delegation from the Republic of Karelia visited today the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan. The meeting with the delegation was held by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan German Lerner.

A welcoming speech from Karelia was delivered by Deputy Prime Minister of the Karelian Government for economic issues Dmitry Rodionov.

The meeting saw the presentation of trade and economic potential in Tatarstan, as well as a discussion of mutual cooperation issues between Tatarstan and Karelia.
