Today, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan hosted a working meeting between Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Aleksey Savelchev and representatives of Samsung Electronics. The meeting was devoted to the issues of mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of digitalisation.

B2B Mobile Solutions Director at Samsung Electronics Aleksandr Terekhov spoke about the practice of introducing digital products to enterprises.

The strategy of Samsung Electronics is to implement large-scale digitalisation of organisations through digitising employees, processes, and assets. The company offers various products to improve business performance, in particular, mobile workplaces, specialised devices, VR technology for training, as well as information security tools.

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd is a multinational company manufacturing electronics, semiconductors, telecommunications equipment, memory chips, LED solutions, mobile phones, and monitors.

More than 164,000 employees work in 124 company’s offices in 56 countries worldwide. Since 1991, the company operates on the Russian market.

As part of a delegation headed by Tatarstan President, Minister Karimov arrived in the city of Weimar, Thuringia (Germany).

The first item on the visit programme was a visit to the Bauhaus University of Weimar. Experts of the Bauhaus Digital Laboratory presented the projects “Artificial Intelligence in Construction” and “Bauhaus Mobility Lab” (solutions laboratory in the field of mobility, logistics, and energy supply). Then the delegation took part in the meeting between the Tatarstan President and Minister President of Thuringia Bodo Ramelow, after which a Tatarstan-Thuringia business forum took place.

During the forum, the sides discussed prospects for cooperation development between Tatarstan and Thuringia, increase in the volume and range of mutual supplies, strengthening ties in the field of IT, engineering, and humanitarian spheres.

In conclusion, a number of documents were signed on cooperation between Tatarstan and Thuringian companies: a tripartite cooperation agreement between the Kazan Electro-Technical Plant, the Micro-Hybrid Electronics GmbH, and the OOO Carnet and a bilateral agreement between the Technopolis Himgrad and Ibykus.

The final event of the working visit to Thuringia was studying the activities of the Erfurt Educational Centre, an educational organisation that provides innovative services in the field of technical and vocational education.

Today, the Inspection Team over National Projects Implementation at the Presidium of the United Russia General Council arrived at Vacuummash on a working visit. The team members include State Duma deputies Svetlana Bessarab and Dmitry Skrivanov, as well as a member of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation Yuri Fyodorov.

During their visit, the Inspection Team discussed the progress in implementing the Labour Productivity and Employment Support national project with Vacuummash representatives. The discussion was attended by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Almaz Khusainov, representatives of the Tatarstan Regional Competence Centre for Increasing Labour Productivity, and company’s employees.

Company’s chief engineer Sergey Golodnov made a presentation in which he spoke about the progress in implementing the national project into production, about the economic effect of its implementation, and about the future plans of the company.

Since 2018, Vacuummash is a participant in the national project, within which the company has launched a pilot project titled “Improving Labour Productivity in the Flow Manufacturing of 2NVR-60D and 2NVR-90D Pumps”. At the moment, the company is successfully solving the tasks of achieving indicators in shortening process times, reducing work in progress, and increasing productivity.

On June 21, 2019 in Mendeleyevsk, Chairman of the Board at AO Ammoni Albert Karimov held an annual general meeting of shareholders, at which the 2018 company’s activities were summed up and annual accounting reports were approved.

In addition, the new company’s Board of Directors was elected to include Vice President of VEB Anton Lysenkov, Executive Director of the Tatarstan Investment and Venture Fund Aynur Aideldinov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov, Aide to the Tatarstan President Rinat Sabirov, and Chairman of the Board at ZAO Yadran-Oil Irek Salikhov.

The first straight-run gasoline was produced at the ELOU-AVT-6 unit with a vacuum residue visbreaker at the Tatneft’s TANECO Refinery.

The estimated capacity of ELOU-AVT-6 is 6 million tonnes of crude oil per year. The unit will produce hydrocarbon gas, straight-run gasoline fraction, kerosene and diesel fractions, vacuum gas oil, and tar.

The general designer of ELOU-AVT-6 is OOO INKO-TeK, its general construction contractor is OOO Orgneftekhim Holding. The process flow scheme of ELOU-AVT-6 is chosen in such a way that further deeper processing should provide stock for all installations of the Nizhnekamsk Complex of Oil Refining and Petrochemical Plants.

Due to the focus of Tatneft on strengthening cooperation with domestic mechanical engineering companies, all process equipment was ordered and produced at Russian factories.

After the launch of the second ELOU-AVT-6 primary processing unit, the total rated capacity of the TANECO refinery will increase up to 14 million tonnes a year.

A delegation of the Commission VI of the Aceh People's Representative Council (Republic of Indonesia) arrived in Tatarstan with a three-day visit.

The delegation’s working visit is dedicated to the study of foreign experience in health care issues, inter-parliamentary cooperation, and other areas.

On June 21, a delegation headed by Vice Chairman of the Aceh Parliament’s Commission VI Sulaiman Ali arrived at the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade to meet with Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan German Lerner. He noted the importance of foreign trade cooperation between Tatarstan and Indonesia, and presented the trade and industrial potential in the republic.

Representatives of the Indonesian side also made a presentation on the activities of the Commission VI of the Aceh People's Representative Council and spoke about their experience in the field of health care regulations and other areas.

The delegation also visited the Tatarstan Ministry of Health, Eidos-Robotics, Eidos-Medicine, and Tatkhimpharmpreparaty. In addition, the Indonesian guests made visits to the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan and Tatarstan hospitals.

Aceh is the most western province in Indonesia located on the northern tip of the Island of Sumatra. Its capital is Banda Aceh. According to 2018 results, the foreign trade turnover between Tatarstan and Indonesia amounted to over US$ 46 million.

For the first time in Kazan, this summer will see a sun-powered boat race. The Solar Regatta 2019, to be held on June 27 to June 30, will bring together more than 50 teams from 26 regions of Russia. The race will be held in the waters of the Lower Kaban Lake.

The Solar Regatta is a unique event where participants can compete in the speed, agility, and endurance of their environment-friendly boats powered by solar energy. The goal of the competition is to raise public awareness about engineering creativity and the latest environmental technologies.

The Solar Regatta is organised by the National Centre for Engineering Contests and Competitions. In 2019, the All-Russian stage of the competition is being held with the support from the Kazan City Administration, the Kazan National Research Technical University KAI, as well as the United Shipbuilding Corporation. The Regatta’s main partner is the Kazan State Power Engineering University.

The Solar Regatta international engineering competitions have been held in Russia since 2014. In preceding years, they took place in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Vladivostok, Kaliningrad, Novgorod, and Grozny. Starting in 2018, school teams can also take part in the competitions.

Today, a press conference was held dedicated to the first ever republic’s engineering skills contest titled “Engineer of the Year”. It was attended by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Almaz Khusainov, Principal of the Kazan National Research Technological University Sergey Yushko, Chairman of the Youth Union of Tatarstan’s Enterprises and Organisations Aydar Sagetdinov, Deputy Director General of the Tatarstan Association of Enterprises and Industrialists Igor Rassman.

The republic’s Engineer of the Year contest is designed to promote the development of engineering workforce in the region, to raise public awareness about the achievements of the best republic’s engineers and increase the attractiveness of engineering thinking in manufacturing process and the professionalism of white-collar occupations. As a result of the contest, a database of the best Tatarstan engineers will be compiled to be used for promising developments in the future.

The contest is held in 3 age-based divisions and 12 categories broken down by republic’s industries. The Organising Committee invites to participation a wide range of professionals, namely: university students receiving an engineering degree, engineers already working at Tatarstan enterprises: design engineers, production engineers contributing to the development of production processes, lines, etc.

The contest winners will be awarded during a solemn ceremony with the participation of the Tatarstan President; additionally, a handing over of certificates is expected for a training at any Russian or foreign engineering university.

Today, a delegation of industrialists from Tatarstan visited the capital of the Czech Republic, Prague. The programme of the one-day visit turned out to be intense.

In the morning, Minister Karimov held talks with leaders of FANS and PBS Energo. In particular, they discussed the plans of the Czech-based FANS for cooperation in the production of water circulation systems and cooling towers, and PBS Energo in the field of turbine production.

Further on, the delegation attended the 7th meeting of the Joint Working Group for Coordination of Trade and Economic Cooperation between the Czech Republic and the Republic of Tatarstan. At the working group meeting, the parties spoke about the cooperation progress with such Tatarstan enterprises as Kazan Helicopters and Vacuummash. From the other side, the plans were announced of some Czech companies such as PBS ENERGO, Jigostroy, MPower Engineering a.s., FAVEA and others to enter the market and/or establish cooperation with Tatarstan’s enterprises. In conclusion, the Minutes of the 7th Joint Working Group meeting was signed.

In the afternoon, a business forum of Tatarstan and Czech enterprises took place, with a presentation of the republic’s industrial potential and industrial enterprises, followed by an exchange of business contacts.

At the end of the visit, Minister Karimov met with Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Czech Republic Alexander Zmeyevskiy.

Tomorrow, the IT park will host a workshop meeting on the topic “Professional Competence Development: Professional Standards. Creating Conditions for Qualitative Development of New Vocational Skills”. Participation is free.

The workshop is held within the framework of the “Senior Generation” federal project as part of the Demography National Project. The purpose of the event is implementing the measures for vocational training and additional professional education for people of pre-retirement age and applying professional standards for the qualification requirements necessary for an employee to perform a certain labour function as established by the laws of the Russian Federation.
