The free hotline of the Proven Business resource, 8 800 222-37-22, advises on audit issues for self-employed persons.

In July, the Federal Tax Service of Russia informed the territorial tax authorities on the need to suspend the control measures for the self-employed in terms of their compliance with the conditions for applying professional income tax. Exemption from audits is one of the incentives for self-employed citizens to come out of the shadows.

In case regulatory authorities have come to you with an audit, please inform about this fact by calling the Proven Business information resource hotline at 8 800 222-37-22.

The new tax regime began to operate in Tatarstan in January 2019. Tatarstan, along with Moscow city, Moscow and Kaluga regions, was selected as one of the four pilot regions for testing professional income tax.

Currently, more than 22,000 self-employed persons are registered in Tatarstan.
