On 14 November 2012, the Novorossiysk Naval Base saw the signing of the State tests acceptance certificate of the counter-terror boat (Project 21980). Thus, the third Grachonok-class boat manufactured by OAO Gorky Zelenodolsk Shipyard (a member of OAO Ak Bars Holding) and designed by OAO KB Vympel (Nizhny Novgorod) is transferred to the Russian Naval Forces.

On 14 November 2012, Kazan held the ceremonial opening of the Tatarstan-Finland Business Forum. The Forum was attended by Prime Minister of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov and Minister for European Affairs and Foreign Trade of Finland Alexander Stubb.
The Forum brought together top officials from Tatarstan and Finnish ministries and agencies, representatives of the Tatarstan enterprises and thirty Finnish companies from various industries (environmental technologies, agriculture, education, mechanical engineering, power engineering, construction, and service sector).
As a part of the Business Forum, B2B meetings between representatives of the Tatarstan and Finnish business communities were also held.

On 14 November 2012, Kazan will hold the Tatarstan-Finland Business Forum. The Forum will be attended by Prime Minister of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov and Minister for European Affairs and Foreign Trade of Finland Alexander Stubb. The Forum programme includes plenary session and B2B meetings between representatives of the Tatarstan and Finnish business communities.
From Finland, the Forum will be attended by representatives of the State authorities (Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland, Embassy of Finland in Russia, Finnish Ministry of Employment and Economy) and business community (the Finnish companies representing various industries: environmental technologies, agriculture, education, mechanical engineering, power engineering, construction, and service sector).
On 15 November this year, the session of the joint working group on the economic interaction between Finland and Tatarstan will be held as a part of the Forum.
On 11 November 2012, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov chaired the session of the Supervisory Board of SEZ Alabuga. The session studied four new projects in different sectors which are seeking the resident status and can be placed in the territory of the Special Economic Zone Alabuga. In November this year, the projects being studied by the Supervisory Board of SEZ Alabuga will be submitted to the Expert Board for Industrial-Type Special Economic Zones under the Russian Ministry of Economic Development.
On 9 November 2012, Nizhnekamsk hosted the foundation stone ceremony of the new Heavy Residue Conversion Complex at TAIF-NK refinery. The ceremony was attended by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov. The Head of the Republic emphasized that the project of constructing the Heavy Residue Conversion Complex at TAIF-NK refinery is unique not only for Tatarstan, but for the entire Russia as well.
The new complex aimed at conversion of heavy residues into light hydrocarbons will be the final revamping stage of TAIF-NK refinery in Nizhnekamsk. Based on the Veba Combi Cracking advanced technology, it will be its first commercial application in the world.

On 9 November 2012, the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade held the meeting of the working group on implementing the Lean Production methodology. The meeting was attended by the Tatarstan Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Gulnara Akhmadeyeva, top executives of the republic’s enterprises and educational establishments (OJSC KamAZ, OAO PO ElAZ, OAO Kazan Electrical Plant, OAO Kazankompressormash, OAO KMPO, Tupolev Kazan National Research Technical University), heads of the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade subdivisions. The meeting dealt with the issues of executing the targeted programme “Lean Production Implementation in the Republic of Tatarstan in 2012-2013“.
On 9 November 2012, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Rashat Fattakhov chaired the meeting dedicated to the issues of constructing the economy class restaurants and placing the nonpermanent sales outlets in the summer period 2013 in Kazan.

On 7 November 2012, Zelenodolsk hosted the seminar meeting between coordinators of primary organisations of the Tatarstan branch of the Russian Engineering Union. The forum was attended by representatives of leading enterprises of the republic’s mechanical engineering complex which are the members of the Tatarstan branch of the Russian Engineering Union: OAO KamAZ, OAO POZIS, OAO Kazan Helicopters, ОАО Zelenodolsk Gorky Plant, OAO Elekon Plant, OAO NPO GIPO, OAO NPO Shimko Radioelectronics, etc. The seminar meeting also considered the prospects and challenges faced by the Tatarstan branch of the Russian Engineering Union in 2013, as well as the issue of efficient interaction between the state authorities, science, and business structures.
On 5 to 9 November 2012, the delegation from Eskisehir Province headed by Mr. Kadir Kochdemir pays a working visit to the Republic of Tatarstan. The Turkish delegation comprises senior officials from Eskisehir Province, Eskisehir Chamber of Industry, Organised Industrial Zone, Ford Otosan Company, and representatives of business community of the province.
Within the programme of their working visit, the delegation from Eskisehir Province had a meeting with Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and visited Naberezhnye Chelny (production sites of OAO KamAZ), Yelabuga Municipal District (Special Economic Zone Alabuga), and production sites of OOO Ford Sollers Yelabuga.

On 5 to 6 November 2012, the Republic of Tatarstan was visited by the delegation of Kazakhstan business community headed by the Chairman of the Presidium of the National Economic Chamber of Kazakhstan Union Atameken,Timur Kulibayev.
Within the programme of the working visit, the delegation had a meeting with the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and heard the presentation of the republic’s economic and investment potential. At the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan, the delegation of Kazakhstan business communities was welcomed by the First Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Ruslan Kabirov. The guests also visited Technopolis Himgrad, OAO Kazan Helicopters, OAO TANECO, OAO KamAZ, and OAO PO ElAZ.
