On 19 December 2012, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan held a meeting with the top executives from Aktas Holding (Turkey). The meeting was attended by the First Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Ruslan Kabirov, Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Republic of Turkey Aydar Gashigullin, and Chairman of Board of Directors of Aktas Holding Mr. Sahap Aktas.
During the meeting, Ruslan Kabirov made a presentation of trade and economic potential of the Republic of Tatarstan. The parties discussed the promising areas for bilateral cooperation in the field of automobile construction and automotive components manufacture.
Within the visit programme, the Turkish delegation will make a tour of OAO Tatneftekhiminvest Holding, Technopolis Himgrad, Special Economic Zone Alabuga, OOO Ford Sollers Yelabuga, and OAO PO ElAZ.
The Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Zaripov chaired a meeting on discussing the current state of affairs and prospects of activities of military-industrial complex enterprises located in the territory of the republic. Among the participants at the meeting were the heads of industrial enterprises, federal and regional government authorities, RT State Council deputies, the leadership of the RT Association of enterprises and businessmen. During the meeting the issues were discussed to execute state defense contract and Federal targeted programme 2012, as well as goals were set for 2013.
On 14 December 2012, Naberezhnye Chelny hosted the opening of Plackart Company’s Complex for Gas-Thermal Spraying and Welding. The ceremonial event was attended by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Gulnara Akhmadeyeva, representatives from the administration of Naberezhnye Chelny, top executives of Plackart Company, and representatives of the republic’s industrial enterprises.
On 13 December 2012, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov attended the ceremonial event dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Small and Medium-Sized Business Association of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Congratulations were also extended by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Zaripov who thanked the executives and representatives of the Association for their initiatives and vigorous work.
On 13 December 2012, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Zaripov had a meeting with the delegation of Omskaya Oblast headed by Deputy Chairman of the Government, Minister of Economy of Omskaya Oblast Alexander Trippel. The delegation comprises 24 members representing executive and municipal authorities and business communities of Omskaya Oblast.
The mission of the visit by the delegation of Omskaya Oblast is to study the experience of the Republic of Tatarstan in the field of industrial production and innovation development. On 13 December 2012, within their Visit Programme, the members of the delegation from Omskaya Oblast had meetings at the Tatarstan Ministry of Economy, State Procurement Agency, and Investment Development Agency. The guests also visited OAO Innovation Production Technopark Idea and IT-Park. On 14 December 2012, the delegation of Omskaya Oblast will make a tour of Technopolis Himgrad and will pay a visit to the Tupolev Kazan State Technical University.
On 12 December 2012, OAO Kazan Helicopters launched its “Way to Success” Career-Guidance Project designed to train leadership skills in students of the enterprise’s sponsored classes at Gymnasium №8 of Kazan. The Project includes a whole range of activities: leadership trainings by top executives, meetings with chief specialists and young activists from the Union of Young Workers at OAO Kazan Helicopters, as well as tours of the enterprise and business games.
On 10 to 12 December 2012, the delegation from the Republic of Tatarstan headed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov pays a working visit to Geneva. The delegation comprises heads of the republic’s ministries and industrial enterprises. The Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade is represented by Ravil Zaripov, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan. The mission of the visit is to take part in the training seminar on the issues of working under the conditions of the World Trade Organisation (WTO).
On 10 December 2012, the members of the delegation had a meeting with WTO Director General Pascal Lamy.
Within the Programme of the seminar, the Tatarstan delegation is scheduled to study the main WTO rules and regulations in the field of industrial and agriculture production, instruments of tariff and non-tariff regulation, and resolution of disputes within the WTO. The Tatarstan delegation is offered an opportunity to attend the meeting of the WTO General Council. The seminar is held at the Centre William Rappard, the WTO headquarters.
On 10 December 2012, Donetsk (Rostovskaya Oblast) hosts the Meeting of the Coordination Committee for the Industry under the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade. The Meeting is entitled “On the Situation in the Light Industry and Its Provision with Raw Materials” and is attended by the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov and Governor of the Rostovskaya Oblast Vasily Golubev. From the Republic of Tatarstan, the Meeting of Coordination Committee for the Industry is attended by the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Rashat Fattakhov.
On 7 December 2012, Kazan hosted the Fifth World Congress of Tatars.
The Congress programme include the plenary meeting, sessions entitled “Ways of Tatar Nation Development”, “Role of History, Culture, and National Education in Creating the Self-Identity of Tatars”, and “The Tatar Information Space: Realities and Prospects”.
On 5 December 2012, OAO KamAZ hosted the Conference entitled “ISO/TU 16949 Standard for Manufacturers and Suppliers”. The Conference was attended by representatives of the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade, Non-Commercial Partnership Volga Quality Center, OAO KamAZ quality office, enterprises manufacturing and supplying automotive components, educational establishments, and professionals from certification authorities. The Conference saw the award ceremony of granting the pilot project participants with certificates of compliance with ISO/TU 16949 requirements.
