On 19 to 20 May 2013, the delegation of the Leningrad Region headed by the Governor of the Leningrad Region Alexander Drozdenko conducted a working visit to the Republic of Tatarstan. The President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Governor of the Leningrad Region Alexander Drozdenko had a meeting at the Kazan Kremlin to discuss prospects for cooperation between the two regions. Within their visit programme, the delegates of the Leningrad Region made a tour of Kazanorgsintez, Technopolis Himgrad, IT Park, and Special Economic Zone Alabuga.
On 17 May 2013, the long-service employees and the staff of the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade took part in the republic environment protection event entitled “The Day of Tree Planting”.

On 16 May 2013, within the visit programme to Tatarstan, the Government delegation of the Republic of Belarus headed by First Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Vladimir Semashko made a tour of OAO KamAZ and OAO PO ElAZ. The Belarus delegation included Dmitry Katerinich, Minister of Industry; Viktor Osnovsky, General Director of OAO MAZ; Sergey Pyatkov, First Deputy Chairman of the State Property Committee; as well as representatives of government authorities and business community of Belarus.
The visit resulted in signing the Protocol of Joint Negotiations on the Development and Coordination of Cooperation between the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Belarus.
On 15 to 16 May 2013, the Kazakhstan delegation headed by Akim of Almaty Akhmetzhan Yesimov paid a visit to the Republic of Tatarstan. Within his visit programme, Akhmetzhan Yesimov had a meeting with the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the State Counsellor of the Republic of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev.
The First Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Ruslan Kabirov made a presentation of the republic’s economic and investment potential.
During the visit, the issues of bilateral cooperation were discussed.

On 15 May 2013,within the working visit of the Turkish delegationheaded by the Governor of Bursa Sahabettin Harput to the Republic of Tatarstan, the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov showed the delegates round KamAZ, ElAZ, and Special Economic Zone Alabuga. The delegation of the Turkish business community comprised the Chairman of the Turkish Automotive Industry Exporters Union Orhan Sabuncu, Chairman of the Automotive Industry Committee under the Industrialists and Businessmen Association of Bursa Halil Akgul, Coordinator of Foreign Affiliates of Kastamonu Integrated Wood Industry Onur Guven, and Projects Manager of Aktas Holding Gulcin Onaran.

On 14 May 2013, the Special Economic Zone Alabuga held the launching ceremony of the construction of the plant for the production of Ford Sollers engines. The ceremony was attended by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov.

On 14 May 2013, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan held a meeting between representatives of the Turkish business community and the Tatarstan Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Rashat Fattakhov. The meeting saw the presentation of Tatarstan’s trade, economic, and investment potential and discussed the issues of cooperation between the Republic of Turkey and the Republic of Tatarstan in the fields of light industry and trade.
Within their visit programme, the Turkish delegates are scheduled to make a tour of High Technology Park IT Park, Technopolis Himgrad, Special Economic Zone Alabuga, OAO KamAZ, and OAO ElAZ.

On 13 May 2013, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan held a meeting chaired by the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov regarding the issues of implementing the Long-Term Earmarked Programme entitled “Increasing Labour Productivity at the Enterprises of the Republic’s Mechanical Engineering and Petrochemical Clusters for 2013-2016”.

On 13 May 2013, a meeting chaired by Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov dealt with the issues of creating an interactive museum of science and technology and with the issues of interaction between public authorities, municipal bodies and businesses in developing the children’s and teenagers’ techno art. The meeting was attended by Minister of Education and Science Engel Fattakhov, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Gulnara Akhmadeeva, Deputy Minister of Education and Science Andrey Pominov and Deputy Minister of Education and Science Svetlana Giniatullina, heads of divisions of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Ministry of Education and Science, and executives of the Kazanskaya Yarmarka administration.
On 14 May 2013, Tatmedia, a republic’s press and mass media agency held a press conference: “Interaction between Republic’s public authorities, industry enterprises, media community in the issues of promoting the white-collar and blue-collar jobs”. The press conference was attended by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Gulnara Akhmadeeva, Deputy Head of Tatmedia Nuriya Belomoina, Director General of OAO Kazan Helicopters Vadim Ligay, representatives of the Republic’s media community, press relations services of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and OAO Kazan Helicopters, and Tatmedia employees.
