On 23 September 2013, the meeting between the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov and the delegation from the Socialist Republic of Vietnam headed by the Deputy Minister of National Defence, Commander of the Vietnam People’s Navy Nguyen Van Hien was attended by the Tatarstan Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Rashat Fattakhov, General Director of Zelenodolsk Shipyard Renat Mistakhov, and General Director of Ak Bars Holding Ivan Yegorov.

The meeting saw the presentation of the economic potential of Tatarstan and dealt with the issues of further development of bilateral cooperation, including that in the field of military technology.

On 20 September 2013, the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov attended the meeting between the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and First Deputy Director General of Rostec State Corporation Aleksey Alyoshin.

After the meeting, Ravil Zaripov gave an interview to journalists on the state support measures for the defence industry enterprises, interaction between the Tatarstan Government and Rostec Corporation within the Agreement of Cooperation, as well as on interactive programmes for the development, comprehensive use of capacities, and technology re-equipment of radio-electronic enterprises located in the republic.

On 19 September Russia celebrates the Gunmaker’s Day. The Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Zaripov pays his compliments to employees of the republic’s defence industry on the occasion of the Gunmaker’s Day and wishes them health, wellbeing, and new achievements for the benefit of Tatarstan and Russia.

On 17 September 2013, the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov attended the meeting between the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov and the delegation from the Republic of Kazakhstan headed by the Deputy Akim of South Kazakhstan Oblast Saparbek Tuyakbayev.
The meeting included the discussion of possibilities for intensifying bilateral cooperation and a range of promising projects. Within their visit programme, the delegates will study the trade, economic, and investment potential of Tatarstan during the Business Forum; they are also scheduled to see the infrastructure of the Kazan technoparks and make a tour of the IT-Park.

On 17 September 2013, the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov had a meeting with the delegation of Łódź Voivodeship (Poland) headed by Darius Stempen, Chairman of Tatarstan Committee under the Łódź Administration.
The meeting dealt with the issues of bilateral cooperation in the fields of mechanical engineering, petrochemicals, trade, and agriculture.

On 12 September 2013, the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov attended the meeting of the Corruption Management Council chaired by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. The meeting dealt with the issues of the efficient implementation of measures for corruption management by the State authorities and municipalities in Tatarstan.

On 11 September 2013, Kazan hosted the opening ceremony of International Specialised Exhibitions “Mechanical Engineering. Metalworking. Kazan” and “TechnoWelding”. The events of the business programme within the opening of the Exhibitions were attended by Ravil Zaripov, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade; Marat Galeyev, Chairman of the Committee for Economy, Investment, and Entrepreneurship under the Tatarstan State Council; Leonid Sovtsov, Deputy General Director of the Fund for Contributing to the Development of Small Enterprises in the Field of Science and Technology; Aleksey Pakhomov, General Director of the Tatarstan Association of Enterprises and Entrepreneurs; Shamil Ageyev, Chairman of the Tatarstan Chamber of Commerce and Industry; and Valery Lavrov, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Yaroslavl Oblast and member of Board of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

On 9 September 2013, the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov chaired the organisational meeting regarding the issues of holding the opening ceremony of the International Exhibition “Mechanical Engineering. Metalworking. Kazan” and Specialised Exhibition “TechnoWelding” on 11 September 2013 at OAO Kazanskaya Yarmarka.
The business programme of the Exhibitions includes:
• International Science and Technology Conference “Innovative Mechanical Engineering Technologies, Equipment, and Materials 2013”,
• Forum “Enhancing the Competitive Strength and Energy Efficiency of Mechanical Engineering Enterprises within the WTO”,
• International Subcontracts Exchange with the participation of corporate customers from Russia and European Union,
• Qualifying round of WorldSkills Russia Contest, an International Contest of professional skills in welding and mechatronics,
• And Children’s Techno Art Exhibition.

On 9 September 2013, the Tatarstan Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Gulnara Akhmadeyeva and Head of Innovations and Strategic Development Department of Rostec State Corporation Alexander Kashirin chaired the meeting of the Working Group for implementing the Agreement between the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan and Rostec State Corporation in the field of Lean Production.
The meeting dealt with the issues of the practice-oriented training within the implementation of the Project “Development and Introduction of Integrated Systems for Efficient Production”, as well as opportunities and conditions for Rostec enterprises located in Tatarstan to enter Lean International Public Organisation.

On 5 September 2013, the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade hosted the meeting of the Working Group regarding the cooperation between the Tatarstan and Belarus gas and petrochemical enterprises. The meeting was chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Zaripov and Acting Deputy Director of Belneftekhim Holding Igor Lyashenko.
