29 September 2013 is a Mechanical Engineer’s Day. Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov congratulates the staff and long-service employees of the republic’s mechanical engineering sector with their professional holiday.

Ravil Zaripov wishes employees of the mechanical engineering sector new achievements, happiness, and well-being. 

On 26 September 2013, Alnas Plant held the foundation laying ceremony of the second foundry line, the largest investment project pursuing the increase in the production capacities and decrease in products cost.

The ceremony was attended by Tatarstan Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Gulnara Akhmadeyeva, representatives of Almetyevsk Mayor’s Office, as well as over 40 partners of OAO Alnas, including its consumers, suppliers, and R&D specialists. 
On 26 September 2013, Moscow hosted the award ceremony of the winners of the 5th International Contest of Mass Media Releases in the Field of Mechanical Engineering. The ceremony was a part of the 6th All-Russian Conference of Young Scientists entitled “Future of Russia’s Mechanical Engineering” held on 26 to 27 September at the Bauman Moscow State Technology University and was dedicated to the Mechanical Engineer’s Day. The contest judges were unanimous in appointing Irina Dyomina, Editor of the Economy and Industry Department of “Republic of Tatarstan” Newspaper as a winner of the category entitled “Industrial Tourism in Russia”.

On 26 September 2013, the Tatarstan Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Rashat Fattakhov chaired the seminar meeting with heads of the Tatarstan representative offices in Russia’s entities, as well the CIS and non-CIS countries.

The meeting included the presentation of the republic’s investment potential, as well as Kazan Smart City and Innopolis projects.

On 25 September 2013, the Tatarstan Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Gulnara Akhmadeyeva visited Naberezhnye Chelny to attend the meeting of the Organisational Committee regarding the preparations for and celebration of the 70th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.  

Gulnara Akhmadeyeva emphasised that Naberezhnye Chelny are active in preparing for the 70th Victory Anniversary. She proposed to enhance the activities by the city’s enterprises and expressed the preparedness of the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade to render overall assistance in this matter.
On 26 to 28 September 2013, the Tatarstan delegation headed by the republic’s President Rustam Minnikhanov will take part in the 12th International Investment Forum Sochi 2013 (Krasnodar Krai).

On 25 September 2013, Tatarstan Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Rashat Fattakhov attended the meeting between the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the republic’s representatives in Russia’s regions and foreign countries.

Following the results of the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov gave a number of instructions to enhance the efficiency of the Tatarstan representative offices.
On 25 September 2013, the Science and Technology Conference “Russia and CIGRE: Combining Experience and Innovations” housed by the Kazan State Power Engineering University was opened in Kazan. The opening ceremony was attended by Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov, President of CIGRE Klaus Fröhlich, Chairman of the Russian National Committee of CIGRE Boris Ayuyev, and the Tatarstan Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Khamza Bagmanov.
The Conference heard the reports on the relevant issues of managing the energy systems, as well as developing, introducing, and operating the up-to-date power equipment.

On 24 September 2013, the Kazan National Research Technological University hosted the roundtable meeting entitled “Introduction of Lean Production at Enterprises in the Republic of Tatarstan” and the meeting of the Interdepartmental Working Group for the Introduction of Lean Production within the International Scientific School “Engineering Education for the New Industrialisation”.

During the roundtable meetings opinions were exchanged as regards the employment of lean technologies at the republic’s industrial enterprises, as well as healthcare and educational establishments issues were discussed. 

On 24 September 2013, the Tatarstan Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Gulnara Akhmadeyeva visited the Zelenodolsk Gorky Shipyard to attend the keel laying ceremony of two Gepard-3.9 frigates designed by OAO Zelenodolsk Design and Engineering Office for the Vietnam Navy. The ceremony brought together the Deputy Minister of National Defence, Commander of the Vietnam People’s Navy Nguyen Van Hien, Minister-Counsellor at the Embassy of Vietnam in Russia Nguyen Chi Tam, Head of the Vietnam Defence Attache Office in Russia Vu Van Xim, Head of Board at the Regional Department of OAO Rosoboroneksport Andrey Plotnikov, General Director of Ak Bars Holding Ivan Yegorov, General Director of the Zelenodolsk Gorky Shipyard Renat Mistakhov, and representatives of the enterprise’s staff.
