On 23 to 25 June 2014, Tatarstan First Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Ruslan Kabirov will be a member of the republic’s delegation during the working visit by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov to France.

Rustam Minnikhanov will have several meetings with executives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Lyon, attend the Business Forum, as well as visit the Lyon Technology Park and Engines Plant of Renault Trucks.

In addition, the Tatarstan President is scheduled to participate on 25 June in the plenary session of the Innovation City International Conference, as well as to make a tour of Sophia Antipolis Science Park, and attend some other events.

In pursuance of the Resolution of the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers No. 994 dated 16.11.2012 “On Approving the Long-Term Targeted Programme for Development of Commerce, Public Catering, and Consumer Services in the Republic of Tatarstan for 2013-2015”, municipal public catering establishments of the republic hosted the Days of National Cuisines of Peoples Residing in Tatarstan” in May-June 2014.

The mission of the project is to improve the quality of service in the field of public catering, to conserve culinary traditions, as well as to strengthen friendship and mutual understanding between various ethnic groups residing in Tatarstan. 

On 21 June 2014, Kazan saw the celebration of Sabantuy Holiday. The main square in the Birch Grove (Mirny Settlement) brought together Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolai Patrushev, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov, Governor of Sverdlovsk Region Yevgeny Kuivashev, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, Mayor of Istanbul Kadir Topbaş, as well as many others, including thousands of citizens and guests of Kazan.

The strategy of the social and economic development of Tatarstan makes provision for the enhancement of its production efficiency and competitive edge of its goods as the top priorities to be achieved by the republic’s enterprises. Owing to the development and implementation of Russia’s first long-term targeted programme for the introduction of Lean Production, Tatarstan has become a recognised leader among Russian regions in implementing lean technologies. Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov gave an interview to the Correspondent of Izvestiya Tatarstana Newspaper regarding the practice of using lean technologies by the republic’s enterprises, as well as achievements and prospects of “the lean movement”.

On 20 to 21 June 2014, the delegation from Sverdlovsk Region headed by its Governor Yevgeny Kuivashev is conducting a visit to the Republic of Tatarstan.
During their visit, the delegates are scheduled to make a tour of the High Technology Technopark IT-Park, Himgrad Technopolis, Kazan Arena Stadium, and Aquatics Palace; they will also participate in the networking activities at the Tatarstan Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

On 19 June 2014, Kazan hosted the exhibition of the republic’s industrial and innovation potential within the 5th International Meeting of High-Ranking Representatives Responsible for Security Matters.
The lobby area of Korston Hotel&Mall hosted the exhibition of social and economic achievements of the Republic of Tatarstan.

On 18 June 2014, within his working visit to Kazan, Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov chaired the meeting at OAO Kazan Helicopters regarding the issues of import substitution and development of Tatarstan defence industry enterprises.
The meeting was attended by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov, as well as top executives from the republic’s leading defence industry enterprises.

On 18 June 2014, Kazan hosted the Ground-breaking Ceremony of the new OAO Kazan Synthetic Rubber Plant – Silicone. The ceremony was attended by the Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Chairman of Board of the State Corporation Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs Vlidimir Dmitriyev, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov, Chair of Board of OAO Kazan Synthetic Rubber Plant Yevgeniya Dautova, as well as representatives from the republic’s ministries, agencies, industrial enterprises, and educational establishments.

On 17 to 18 June 2014, the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov will conduct a working visit to the Republic of Tatarstan.
During the visit, Denis Manturov is planning to make a tour of OAO Kazan Helicopters, OAO Simonov Experimental Design Bureau, and KAI Composite Engineering Centre.
Kazan Helicopters will host the meeting regarding the import substitution issue. The meeting will be attended by the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov, as well as top executives from the republic’s leading defence industry enterprises.
