The municipal public catering establishments of the republic are conducting the campaign entitled “Days of National Cuisine of Ethnic Groups Living in Tatarstan”. The mission of the project is to improve the quality of service in the field of public catering, to conserve culinary traditions, as well as to strengthen friendship and mutual understanding between various ethnic groups residing in Tatarstan. In order to encourage the implementation of projects aimed at improving energy efficiency and promoting energy-saving lifestyle, the Ministry of Energy of Russia is holding the 2nd Competition of Completed Projects in the Field of Energy Conservation, Energy Efficiency and Power Sector Development within the framework of the 4th International Energy Saving Forum (ENES 2015). The competition will take place in two stages (regional and federal); the winners will be selected in September and November 2015. On 26 May 2015, the city of Innopolis hosted the 4th Conference "Information Technology in the Service of the Military-Industrial Complex", which will last until May 29. The event was organised by the State Corporation Rostec, the Board of the Military-Industrial Commission of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan. The conference is attended by about 1,100 experts in the field of defence industry and software development, information technology, equipment manufacturers and suppliers, managers of industrial corporations, and others.
On 26 May 2015, the Training Centre of AO KETZ held the 1st contest for young radio amateurs. The contest was attended by students of the 7th and 8th grades of School No. 24 (Kazan), and Tenkovsky and Rudnytsky schools of the Kama-Ustye Municipal District of Tatarstan. The mission of the contest is to help students correlate their interests and knowledge acquired in school with new ideas of the professional world, various types of working practices.
On 25 and 26 May 2015, the Tatarstan delegation headed by Interim President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov had a working visit to Cairo (Egypt). The official Russian delegation headed by Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov, head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov took part in the forum entitled “Industrial and Commercial Dialogue Russia-Egypt ". Russian businesses at the forum were represented by over 70 companies, including Rostec, Russian Helicopters, United Aircraft Corporation, KAMAZ, Uralvagonzavod, Transmashholding, EXIAR, Tractor Plants Concern, AvtoVAZ, United Shipbuilding Corporation, Russian Railways, GAZ, Irkut, Vnesheconombank, RFPI, United Heavy Machinery Plants, Renova, Sinara Group, etc.
On 23 May 2015, the closing ceremony of the 3rd National Competition WorldSkills Russia 2015 saw awarding the winners of the 2nd Journalist Prize for Enhancing the Prestige of Blue-Collar and White-Collar Jobs. This prize was established by Kazan Helicopters with the support from the Helicopters of Russia, the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Republic’s Agency for Press and Mass Communications Tatmedia. The main purpose of the award is revealing the best journalistic works and encouraging journalists that form the positive image of workers, engineering and design jobs.
The International Exhibition and Forum of Non-Foods and Food Products "Crimea, South Russia 2015" to be held from 26 to 31 May 2015 in Sevastopol, the Republic of Crimea (http://www.krymyug.ru). Within the framework of the Forum, a Patriotic Project will take place aimed at demonstrating to the global community the support of the President of the Russian Federation, the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol by the business community and constituent entities of Russia. 23 May 2015 saw the finals of the 3rd National Championship for professional skills under WorldSkills standards. The closing ceremony was held in Tatneft-Arena in Kazan with the participation of Russian Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets and Tatarstan Interim President Rustam Minnikhanov. Tatarstan team took the lead in the finals of the 3rd National Competition, followed by the Sverdlovsk Region team and the Moscow team. The 3rd WorldSkills Russia event was attended by 519 participants from 46 regions of Russia and five foreign countries: Morocco, Israel, Finland, Belarus, and Kazakhstan. The participants competed in a total of 55 specialities.
On 23 May 2015, the official celebration of the Chemist’s Day was held in the Neftekhimik Ice Palace in Nizhnekamsk. The event was attended by Tatarstan Interim President Rustam Minnikhanov, Chairman of the Tatarstan State Council Farid Mukhametshin, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov, Deputy of the Russian State Duma Alina Kabayeva, President of Russian Chemists’ Union Viktor Ivanov, Chairman of Russian Chemical Workers Union Aleksandr Sitnov, Head of Nizhnekamsk Municipal District Aydar Metshin, executives of Tatarstan petrochemical industry enterprises, lecturers and students of the Kazan National Research University of Technology, Kazan Federal University, and Nizhnekamsk Chemical Technology University, school students who won All-Russia academic competitions, and the republic’s best teachers of chemistry.
On 20 May 2015, the Ministry of Industry and Trade hosted a meeting between Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Rashat Fattakhov and the delegation of the Russian Ministry for Crimean Affairs and representatives of the Crimean Federal District headed by Deputy Minister for Crimean Affairs Andrei Sokolov. From Tatarstan, the meeting was also attended by deputy ministers of industry and trade Damir Safiullin and Ravil Mingaleyev, heads of companies in power, mechanical engineering, and petrochemical sectors of Tatarstan, employees of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Association of Small and Medium-Sized Businesses of Tatarstan. The meeting discussed promising avenues of cooperation in the power energy sector, mechanical engineering, petrochemical, construction industries, and development of small and medium-sized businesses.
