On 14 December 2015, the Tatarstan State Council hosted the meeting of the Coordination Council for Compatriots' Affairs under Tatarstan President.
The meeting was chaired by Chairman of the State Council and Coordination Council Farid Mukhametshin. The meeting was attended by Chief of Staff of the Tatarstan President Asgat Safarov, Tatarstan Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Rashat Fattakhov and top officials of Tatarstan ministries and agencies.
Officials of the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade, Tatarstan Ministry of Education and Science, Tatarstan Ministry of Culture and the World Congress of the Tatars reported about the results of their activities in compatriots’ support in 2015.
On 14 December, Interim Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov had a meeting with Head of the Department for Economy, Finance and Investment Centre of East Azerbaijan Province of Iran Mr. Reza Hosseini Garaguzlu.
The meeting was also attended by Acting Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kazan Mohsen Fagani.
During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects of bilateral trade and economic cooperation development.
Within the framework of the working visit of the delegation, delegates would visit industrial enterprises of the republic such as KAMAZ, YELAZ, Nizhnekamskshina, and SEZ Alabuga.
On 12 December 2015, the official ceremony of raising St. Andrew's flags on small-size missile ships “Zeleny Dol” and “Serpukhov” produced at Zelenodolsk Shipyard was held at the main naval base of the Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol.
The ceremony was attended by Commander of the Black Sea Fleet Admiral Aleksandr Vitko, Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Aksenov, officials of the Tatarstan Government and Sevastopol Government, top executives of OAO Zelenodolsk Shipyard and OAO Ak Bars Holding Company.
Black Sea Fleet Commander Aleksandr Vitko pointed out that the ships which had come off stocks of Zelenodolsk Shipyard have been carrying out all the tasks with honour and dignity.
This summer, Project 21631 small-size missile ships were transited to Novorossiysk by inland waterways. There, they successfully passed factory trial and state tests. The ships then headed to Sevastopol, the place of their permanent deployment. These missile ships were the first vessels to enter the Black Sea Fleet within recent years.
On 11 December 2015, the ceremony of commissioning new production lines was held at Kazanorgsintez with the participation of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov. The ceremony was attended by Interim Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, Aide to the Tatarstan President Rinat Sabirov, Director General of OAO TAIF Albert Shigabutdinov, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, etc.
Within the framework of the programme at PAO Kazanorgsintez, a new compounding line at HDPE production and processing plant was examined. A new unit is six times more powerful than its predecessor. It can produce up to 240,000 tonnes of product per year.
Production growth of high-demand competitive product for pipe manufacture and strengthening the leading position of PAO Kazanorgsintez in the production of low-pressure polyethylene pipes of Russian trademarks are the main advantages of the new line.
On 11 December 2015, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov learnt about the upgrading process of the Kazan Thermal Power Station-3. He was accompanied by Aide to the Tatarstan President Rinat Sabirov, Interim Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, Director General of TAIF Albert Shigabutdinov, and Director General of OAO TGK-16 Ramil Khusainov.
Upgrading of the Kazan Thermal Power Station-3 (power facility is on the balance sheet of OAO TGK-16 power company) will enhance its efficiency in supply of electricity from 46 to 64%, what, in turn, will significantly reduce the deficit and will meet the growing energy needs of residents and industrial enterprises of Kazan.
The inspection of a new station unit construction site was held. The unit is equipped with one of the most powerful gas turbine units in the world. Up to date, all preparatory works are completed.
The constructions are planned to be finished in 2017. After implementing a new power unit, the power plant capacity will increase from the current 420 MW to 772 MW.
From 10 to 11 December 2015, AO POZIS hosted the 7th innovative session of Rostec State Corporation. The event was attended by over two hundred top executives of Russian enterprises, scientific institutions, and investment funds.
The topic of the 7th innovative session was “Shaping management systems for unique technology competencies and inquiries for external innovation of the Rostec Corporation's holding companies and organisations”.
During the session, representatives of leading enterprises and educational institutions took the floor. Among speakers were representatives of Rostec State Corporation, AO NPK Tehmash, ZAO SMKB (Special Machine-Building Design Bureau), Skolkovo Foundation, OAO Kontsern Avtomatika, DuPont, Industry Development Fund, VEB Innovation Fund, etc. The topics of reports were related to topical issues of the domestic economy. POZIS presented their exploratory work as well.
A meeting between deputy directors of holding companies on Innovative development ended the session.
On 10 December 2015, Interim Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov attended the meeting between Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and President of SAP for Europe, Middle East and Africa Franck Cohen.
Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that enterprises of the republic are satisfied with the cooperation between Tatarstan and SAP company.
Franck Cohen thanked Rustam Minnikhanov for the meeting and assured that SAP is willing to further develop relations with the Republic of Tatarstan.
The parties discussed the opportunity of conducting joint developments at potential partner enterprises, localizing IT-developments in Russia by creating new jobs, investing in the developments in IT, etc.
