At one of the zonal concerts of the Festival held in Zainsk in mid-October of this year, it became known that the Festival received the status of intangible cultural heritage of Russia.

“The festival was created for professional and friendly communication between working youth and deserves wide spreading in the country”, said Grigory Ordzhonikidze, Secretary-General of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO and Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs

This year, more than 160 teams and individual performers entered the Festival. The qualifying rounds of the Festival are held from October to November 2019 and comprises four zonal qualifying rounds in the cities of Almetyevsk, Naberezhnye Chelny, Zainsk, and Kazan, a Super Finals and a Gala Concert in Kazan. The Gala Concert will be held on November 16 at the Pyramid Cultural and Entertainment Centre where the Grand Prix holders and Festival winners will be announced.

The “Our Time - Beznen Zaman” Republic’s Annual Open TV Festival of Working Youth has been held in Tatarstan since 2013. The project invites young people aged 18 to 35 that work in republic’s enterprises and organisations to express themselves in a creative way – in music, choreography, and art of declamation. The Festival is a socially significant governmental project that has no commercial purposes.

An unforgettable gala concert and an award ceremony for the best performers closed the qualifying zonal round of the 7th Republic’s Annual Open TV Festival of Working Youth Creativity Our Time - Beznen Zaman in Zainsk.

Over the past weekend, jury members watched over 50 original performances of festival contestants at the stage of the Zainsk’s Energetik Palace of Culture.

Traditionally, all festival’s winners and laureates received diplomas and gifts. The holders of the first, second, and third places were presented with special invitations of the jury to the Super Finals of the festival.

An important feature of this year was that most of the contestants presented their songs and choreographic compositions dedicated to the life and culture of not only the Tatars and the Russians, but also Mari, Chuvash, and Bashkir peoples.

The festival also hosted such master classes as Stage Direction, Image of Visions by production director from Moscow Dmitry Platonov and President of the Centre for Stage Practices (Moscow) Vladimir Anosov. Head of the Road from the City Dance Theatre Lilia Bagautdinova also held her Technique of Modern Dance master class.

These days, Almetyevsk saw the first zonal qualifying round of Our Time - Beznen Zaman, the 7th Republic’s Annual Open TV Festival of Working Youth Creativity.

In the team rating, the first place was taken by the Tatneft team. The second place was shared by the teams of the Almetyevsk Pipe Plant and the Interregional Trade Union Organisation of Tatneft. The third place in the team rating was held by the Education Board of the Almetyevsk Municipal District of Tatarstan.

All festival’s winners and laureates received diplomas and gifts. The holders of the first, second, and third places were presented with special invitations of the jury to the Super Finals of the festival.

As part of the festival, master classes and round tables were traditionally held for its participants. The lecturers include Vladimir Anosov, President of the Centre for Stage Practices (Moscow) and the founder of the Dramaturgy and Plastic Art School.

Competitors who successfully passed the zonal qualifying round will meet at the Kazan Super Finals, which will be held on November 13 to 14. Grand Prix holders and festival winners will be announced at a Gala Concert on November 16 at the Pyramid Cultural and Entertainment Centre.

The organisers of the 7th Annual Open Republic’s TV Festival of Working Youth Creativity “Our Time - Beznen Zaman” decided to extend the application deadlines: now one can apply for participation until October 1, 2019.

The Festival provides a unique opportunity for working youth aged 18 to 35 to express themselves in a creative way – in music, choreography, and art of declamation.

The applications to take part in the 7th Annual Open Republic’s TV Festival of Working Youth Creativity “Our Time - Beznen Zaman” are closing on September 25, 2019.

The Festival was created with the support of the Tatarstan President in 2013. Its founders are the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Youth Affairs of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Culture of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Education and Science of Tatarstan, Tatmedia Republic’s Agency for Press and Mass Communications, the Council of Municipalities in Tatarstan, the Youth Union of Tatarstan’s Enterprises and Organisations, the Tatarstan Association of Enterprises and Industrialists, and the Tatarstan Federation of Trade Unions.

The main mission of the event is forming a new generation of workforce, popularising blue-collar and white-collar jobs, and uncovering the creative potential of young professionals.

The project helps young people aged 18 to 35 that work in enterprises and organisations of the republic to express themselves in a creative way – in music, choreography, and art of declamation.

The level of the “Our Time - Beznen Zaman” participants is growing every year, giving the event the status of a republic’s cultural brand. The Festival is televised: all gala concerts are recorded and broadcasted on the TNV channel.

On August 2 and 3, the Kazanskaya Yarmarka exhibition centre hosted the fifth anniversary festival of craft brewing, KazanCraftFest, bringing together tattoo and motorcycle shows, street food, electronic and rock music.

The event was co-organised by the Craft Depot Association of Russian Breweries and supported by Visit Tatarstan and the Tatarstan Beer Association.

This year, KazanCraftFest was attended by 70 best Russian and foreign producers of beer, cider, and mead. The festival guests had the opportunity to taste 200 types of beer drinks, Bavarian sausages, American brisket smokers, food at a 20-bar gastro market and street food trucks with Mexican snacks.

The partners of the festival – motorcycle clubs and tattoo studios – presented their programmes: shows, contests and a display of 100 classic motorcycles.

The festival’s entertainment programme was accompanied by business events on the most relevant market topics, for which lecture areas and negotiation zones were created.

In the meantime, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan German Lerner took part in the extraordinary general meeting of the Tatarstan Association of Brewers.
