Today, Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov had a meeting with Director General of Haitian CIS Ilya Plyutov. The meeting was devoted to discussing the opportunity of localising Haitian Group production in Tatarstan. Representatives of Haitian CIS were invited to open a facility in the Technopolis Himgrad with three divisions: a service centre, a finished goods warehouse, and a training centre.
Albert Karimov noted that Tatarstan is an ultimate competence centre in the field of plastics processing. A good investment climate, appropriate infrastructure and special preferences make the republic a suitable area for the localisation of Haitian Group facilities.
The Haitian Group is a company founded in 1966 in China (Hong Kong). It has 18 factories in 10 countries (China, Germany, Brazil, Turkey, Vietnam, India, Thailand, Indonesia, Mexico, Japan) and has been the world leader in the production of plastic injection moulding machines since 1994.
In addition, the Haitian Group manufactures turning machining equipment for the metal industry and equipment for the mechanical engineering industry (servo drives).
Expert magazine, one of the most influential weekly business analytic publications in Russia, has published an annual rating of the investment attractiveness of industrial parks and special economic zones in the Russian Federation.
For the third year in a row, the leader in this rating is the Technopolis Himgrad. Year after year, it confirms its maximum attractiveness for residents and dominant position in the industry. Himgrad received the highest AA class, beating large industrial parks from such traditionally strong regions as Moscow, St. Petersburg, Moskovskaya, Leningradskaya, Ulyanovskaya and Kaluzhskaya oblasts. The rating’s top three are the sites from Tatarstan, confirming the republic’s status as a leader in innovation and investment development.
Today, Technopolis Himgrad accounts for 10.3% of the total number of industrial park residents in Russia and 5.6% of the total number of jobs created. One rouble of government investment in the infrastructure of Himgrad accounts for 11 roubles of private investment by residents in production facilities. At the same time, according to the Russian Association of Industrial Parks, the average in Russia is 5 roubles of private investment per 1 rouble of investment in infrastructure.
Technopolis Himgrad was founded in 2006 in pursuance of a Resolution by the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers based on the unused facilities of Tasma Holding. The total area of Technopolis is 131 hectares, the floor space of industrial and warehouse premises is more than 500,000 square metres.
