Today, the All-Russian Conference “Standardisation and Conformity Assessment as Tools for Protecting Business Interests” was held at the Korston Hotel & Mall in Kazan. The event was attended by heads of federal and regional authorities, representatives of the EurAsEC member countries, leaders and experts of scientific organisations and industrial enterprises.
On behalf of the republic's leadership, the conference participants were greeted by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov. “Tatarstan is extremely interested in paying much attention to the quality and competitiveness of products,” he said. “This is a region where about RUB 2 trillion worth of industrial products are manufactured annually, and the manufacturing industry sector dominates in the gross regional product with over 40 percent.”
According to Albert Karimov, industrialists of Tatarstan take an active part in the standardisation processes.
At the end of his speech, the Minister thanked the organisers for choosing Kazan as a venue for the meeting and introduced a presentation video illustrating the success of the Republic of Tatarstan.
