According to the Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation, the identification system for football fans, of which FAN IDs are a part, was successfully tested at the Rubin Kazan - CSKA Moscow match that was held in Kazan on May 17, 2017.
All spectators attended the match received the FAN IDs. More than 2,500 employees of 27 industrial enterprises and employees of the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade took part in testing the system. Later on, these FAN IDs can be used by fans at the FIFA Confederations Cup 2017. Together with tickets for the match, these FAN IDs will ensure a comfortable and fast passage to the stadium for all spectators.
The FAN ID is a personalised spectator card that is part of the ID system for football fans of the FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 and the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Each spectator should receive such a card after purchasing a ticket for the match. To do this, one should fill out a form on the website http://www.fan-id.ru or go through the registration procedure at the FAN ID Distribution centres. Further, one will be able to receive a FAN ID in this centre. In addition, a FAN ID ensures free-visa entry to the Russian Federation for foreign spectators and stateless persons.
