Tatarstan delegation visited Russian Federal Nuclear Centre in Sarov

On April 6, a delegation from the Republic of Tatarstan headed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited the Russian Federal Nuclear Centre – All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Experimental Physics (RFNC-VNIIEF) in Sarov, Nizhny Novgorod Region.

Traditionally, the head of Tatarstan was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov. The delegation also comprised top executives from major industrial enterprises of Tatarstan, as well as representatives of the Kazan (Volga) Federal University and the Tupolev KNRTU.

During the visit, the representatives of the Republic of Tatarstan studied the activities of the Institute of Laser Physics and the ITMF Computing Centre, visited the RFNC-VNIIEF Nuclear Weapons Museum, and laid flowers at the monument to Academician Yuly Khariton, one of the founders of nuclear physics and nuclear industry in our country.

At the end of the visit, a meeting was held on the topic “Digital Economy: the Future of Russia. United Team”.
