Ford Sollers reported that in March this year, the Russian sales of Ford automobiles totalled 4,173 vehicles, which is 3 per cent more than that in the same period last year and 41 per cent higher than the result in the previous month. A total of 9,380 vehicles were sold in the first quarter of 2017.
The growth in sales was facilitated by a drop in prices for a number of Ford-branded models in Russia, as well as the launch of the new Ford Kuga model. Owing to the increase in the efficiency and competitiveness of the automaker in the Russian market, the accumulation of the localisation effect from automotive components and raw materials, and the stronger rouble, Ford Sollers has offered its customers more favourable retail prices for Ford vehicles since early March 2017.
