5th International Lean Summit “Smart Manufacturing Systems”

From 6 to 7 April 2017, representatives of the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade will take part in the 5th International Lean Summit “Smart Manufacturing Systems” (Sochi) dedicated to the transformation of manufacturing and control systems under the influence of Industry 4.0 and the IoT.

The Lean Summit is expected to attract about 300 executives from major enterprises in various industries and services of 25 Russia’s regions. The key speakers of the Summit 2017 include well-known world and leading Russian scientists and experts in the field of lean manufacturing, management, personnel development, quality assurance, and logistics from such companies as Toyota Engineering Corporation, Business Excellence (Finland), Siemens, Russian Space Corporation, SIBUR, and others.

The Lean Summit presents new approaches to the formulation of the development strategies focused on the use of custom-tailored digital technologies; competitive advantages that can be provided by service business models; case studies of enhancing the companies’ competitiveness, “lean” approaches to developing and designing new products, improving quality, creating personnel development systems and involving worksites in the process of digital transformations.
