Today, the Annual General Meeting of Nizhnekamskneftekhim Shareholders was held in Nizhnekamsk. The event was attended by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.
In his report, Director General of Nizhnekamskneftekhim Azat Bikmurzin noted that the total annual output amounted to 670,000 tonnes of rubbers, of which 88 percent went for export. In addition, a total of 725,000 tonnes of plastics were produced there. Revenues from product sales exceeded RUB 153 billion, while the net profit was RUB 25.1 billion.
Addressing the audience, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov highly appreciated the success of Nizhnekamskneftekhim in 2016.
Rustam Minnikhanov drew the attention of the Nizhnekamskneftekhim management to the need for expanding the company's presence in the global rubber market. In addition, he stressed the role of the republic’s major players in solving social issues. As an example, he mentioned the completed first-stage reconstruction of the biological treatment facilities (BTF) in Nizhnekamsk, the large-scale housing programme of the TAIF Group and the participation in the preparations for the 50th anniversary of Nizhnekamsk. At that time, the participation of industrial giants allowed solving a number of significant social issues.
