Schneider Electric signed agreement of intent with SEZ Innopolis

Today, the House of Tatarstan Government hosted a meeting between Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Executive Vice President of Schneider Electric Emmanuel Babeau. The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov.

Greeting the guests, the head of the republic said that Tatarstan attaches great importance to the cooperation with Schneider Electric and the expertise of the joint work that has been accumulated over the years.

In turn, Executive Vice President Emmanuel Babeau briefed the meeting’s participants about the R & D centre to be opened in the high-tech city of Innopolis (Republic of Tatarstan) in 2017, as well as about the plans for its development and provisioning of projects.

At the end of the meeting, in the presence of Rustam Minnikhanov and Emmanuel Babeau, an Agreement of Intent was signed between Schneider Electric and the Special Economic Zone Innopolis, as well as an Agreement on Intent between Schneider Electric and the University of Innopolis. From Schneider Electric, the document was signed by its President for Russia and the CIS Johan Vanderplaetse.
