Opening of the 18th Energy & Resource Saving Exhibition

Over the past five years, owing to the measures taken to increase energy efficiency, Russia has managed to save around 300 million tonnes of fuel equivalent. This was announced today at the opening ceremony of the 18th International Exhibition “Energy. Resource Saving” and the 17th International Symposium “Energy & Resource Efficiency and Energy Saving” at the Expo Centre of Kazanskaya Yarmarka.

The event was attended by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov, Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Anton Inyutsin, Khokim of the Samarkand Region of the Republic of Uzbekistan Himmat Okbutayev, representatives of federal and republic’s authorities and others.

The 18th Energy & Resource Saving International Exhibition brought together leading specialists and experts in energy, industry, housing and communal services, representatives of power agencies and centres for energy saving and resource efficiency, scientists, and practitioners.

More than 140 major companies from Russia, Belarus, Italy, and the USA presented their latest achievements this year, alongside with 14 local offices of foreign companies from Germany, Israel, Italy, Spain, China, Korea, Poland, Slovenia, the USA, the Czech Republic, Sweden, and Finland.
