Tatarstan, a talent foundry

2 February 2017, Thursday

On 2 February 2017, the ministries of industry and trade of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan held the first workshop on the topic “System of Manpower Education and Training Based on Project Approaches” at the Kazan National Research Technological University.

Questions were raised on the targeted personnel training for the chemical industry. The issue of the lack of chemical technologists and designers sparked a heated discussion. Very active debates were also held in regards to the need for organising targeted educational, scientific and innovative business projects and programmes, special events (such as the academic competitions, etc.). The participants visited the laboratories and examined the infrastructure of the Institute.

Following the results of the working meeting, the ceremonial signing of the Strategic Partnership Agreement took place between the Kazan National Research Technological University and the State Research Institute of Organic Chemistry and Technology. The main objective of the agreement between the parties is the cooperation in the field of educational, research, and social activities. This is a pilot project; it is planned to extend it further to the enterprises in the Republic of Tatarstan and the Russian Federation.
