Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov took part in the visit of Russia’s Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev to the Kirov Oblast, during which a meeting was held on the development of production facilities for the organisations of the defence industry complex to fulfil the Russia’s State arms programmes.
During the meeting, Dmitry Medvedev said that even in the relatively difficult macroeconomic conditions, the production capacities of the defence industry complex are developing increasingly. In addition, Dmitry Medvedev noted that according to the preliminary results of 2016, the increase in the rate of production is expected to be over 10%.
“We have embarked on preparations for the development programme of the defence industry complex for the period until 2025. Of course, this programme is related to the State arms programme. This correlation must be respected, as before. It is necessary to find the financing for the entire period. We have planned the money for the next few years, they are available in the budget and this will not be changed”, - said the head of the Russian Government.
