The Vice President of the Russian Academy of Sciences also mentioned his discussion with Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, during which a proposal was voiced to award the Skolkovo resident status to companies established in other regions and even in other countries.

Rustam Minnikhanov supported the initiative. According to Tatarstan President's opinion, a company that received the Skolkovo resident status should have preferences regardless of its location.
