Vladimir Putin launched Ammonium complex in Mendeleyevsk

The commissioning procedure of the Ammonium complex producing ammonia, methanol, and granulated carbamide was held in Mendeleyevsk on February 12 by Russia`s President Vladimir Putin.

The event was attended by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, and other officials.

Russia`s President Vladimir Putin has congratulated the participants of the official ceremony on the attainment of the projected capacity by the complex and thanked those who participated in the implementation of the project.

Rustam Minnikhanov, in his turn, has thanked President Putin for supporting the project.

The projected annual output is 717,000 tonnes of ammonia, the same for carbamide, 233,000 tonnes of methanol, and at least 300,000 tonnes of ammonium nitrate, said Rinat Khanbikov, Director General of Gazprom Mezhregiongaz Kazan.
