Kazan is hosting Russian-Turkish Public Forum

On 20 November 2013, Kazan hosts Russian-Turkish Public Forum. The main goals of the meeting are to develop public relations and mutual understanding between the two countries in the areas of culture and art, education and science, mass media, business climate, tourism, inter-faith dialogue, law matters, etc.
The opening ceremony of the Forum was attended by Head of Rossotrudnichestvo and Chairman of the Forum’s Russian Board Konstantin Kosachev, Chairman of Foreign Affairs Commission under the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and Chairman of the Forum’s Turkish Board Volkan Bozkir, Special Representative of the Russian President for international cultural cooperation Michael Shvydkoj, and Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov.
The meeting started with the one minute's silence in remembrance of victims after Boeing 737 crash in the Kazan Airport on 17 November 2013.
In the framework of the Forum, two cooperation memorandums have been signed between Hayat Holding and Sberbank, and between Coskunoz Alabuga and Sberbank.
