Tatarstan Delegation headed by President Rustam Minnikhanov visited Rostov Oblast

On 7 and 8 November 2013, the delegation from the Republic of Tatarstan headed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited the Rostov Oblast. The delegation also included Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov.
Within the framework of the working visit, the Tatarstan delegation visited the largest industrial enterprises of the Rostov Oblast, had meetings with activists of Tatar public organisations in the region.  It is also planned to sign an agreement between the Rostov Oblast and the Republic of Tatarstan on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technology, Social, and Cultural Cooperation.
Tatarstan delegation made a tour of the production site of OOO Rostselmash Combine Harvester Plant and examined the exhibition of its products (self-propelled combine harvesters and tractors). The guests also visited the automated warehouses, production departments of the company, and reviewed laser machine tools. Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov requested Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov to consider the opportunities of cooperation between Rostselmash and KAI-Laser engineering centre being under formation in Kazan.
On 7 November 2013, an agreement on cooperation in the field of education was signed within the visit between the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and OOO MTE KOVOSVIT MAC, a Russian-Czech joint venture.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov also held a meeting with Gidroprivod Company on the issue of creating a joint venture with Itil-Invest Group of Companies in the territory of Tatarstan.

MTE KOVOSVIT MAC is a prime example of a machine tool building cluster formed in the city of Azov (Rostov Oblast).
To ensure the cluster operation, a productive interaction has been built with sectoral Russian universities, such as the Stankin Moscow State University of Technology and the Don State Technical University.
The total cost of the project is € 57 million (or RUB 2.3 billion). A total of 300 high-quality jobs will be created in the course of its implementation.The level of production localisation will reach 40% by late 2013.
