The working visit of Tatarstan delegation headed by the Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov to the Federal Republic of Germany will take place on 15-17 October, 2013. The Tatarstan delegation comprises Ravil Zaripov, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister – the Minister of Industry and Trade, Rinat Sabirov, the Assistant to the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Zufar Abdulgaleev, Tatarstan trade and economic representative in the Czech Republic, the heads of ministries and agencies, as well as leading industrial enterprises and educational institutions of the republic. The aim of the working visit to the Federal Republic of Germany is to find out more about economic and investment potential of Federal lands, North Rhine Westfalia and Thuringia; to discuss the issues of mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation development in the field of automotive components’ production, machine tool technology, petrochemicals, education, public health service and IT-field.
The Tatarstan delegation is scheduled to meet within 15 - 16 October with madam Silvya Lermann, the Deputy Prime Minister, the Minister of North Rhine Westfalia. The Tatarstan Delegation will take part in the activities of the International Trade Fair for Plastics and Rubber K-Messe in Dusseldorf, where Tatarstan exhibit is represented by its petrochemical complex enterprises such as OAO Kazanorgsintez and OAO Nizhnekamskneftekhim. Bilateral agreements on cooperation is scheduled to be signed within the visit of the Trade Fair. The Tatarstan delegation will visit the RED Aircraft plant, will meet with representatives of the company ‘BROTJE’ (aircraft technologies). The meeting of the Germany representatives of business circles will take place in Industrial Club of Dusseldorf. The Tatarstan delegation representatives will visit the DASAexhibition centre in Leverkusen’ chempark.
On 17 October 2013 the opening of economic forum ‘Thuringia welcomes Tatarstan' will take place with the participation of the Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Thuringia Prime Minister Frau Christine Lieberknecht, the representatives of public authorities, Tatarstan and Thuringia business circles.
As part of formal opening session of the forum Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister – Tatarstan Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov will do a presentation of Tatarstan economic and investment potential, will define the condition and upcoming trends of cooperation of Tatarstan and Germany. The representatives of Tatarstan and Thuringia business circles will participate in B2B meetings and subject panel discussions.
During the working visit in Thuringia the Tatarstan delegation will visit the ‘Congress of Erfurt’ industrial site, The Ilmenau University of Technology.
The Tatarstan Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov points that ‘Germany is traditionally one of the strategically important and active business partners of our republic. Foreign trade turnover between Germany and Tatarstan has increased by 1.8 times during the last five years to make up over 1 bln euro in 2012 and 475 bln euro in the first half of 2013. To date, 82 business companies are registered with the involvement of Germany investors’. According to Ravil Zaripov points out that ‘Tatarstan-Germany relations are of diversified and strategic partnership’. According to Ravil Zaripov, among the promising and mutually beneficial projects in the Tatarstan – Germany relations are machine-building, chemistry and petroleum chemistry, scientific – technical, academic and investment activities.
