On 11 October 2013, the meeting concerning republic’s electrical energy sector development took place under the chairmanship of Tatarstan Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov. The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Khamza Bagmanov, top executives of republic’s energy facilities and Kazan State Power Engineering University.
The meeting heard the report of OOO KER-Engineering about the development of Scheme and Programme for Tatarstan Electric Energy Sector Development in 2013 with an Outlook until 2018. The Scheme and the Programme are developed each year in pursuance of the Federal Law No.35-FZ dated 26.03.2003 “On Electric Energy Sector” and the Resolution of the Russian Federation’s Government No.323 dated 17.10.2009 “On Schemes and Programmes of Electric Energy Sector Prospective Development”.
The main goals of the document are to form the strategies of the Tatarstan energy sector, balanced power infrastructure to ensure social and economic development in Tatarstan both for energy facilities and energy consumers. Upon taking the presented report into consideration, it was decided to approve the main areas of Tatarstan energy sector development for the five-year period.
The meeting has also discussed the issue of optimising the plan for repairs of electric stations, electric and heat grids for 2014 and ensuring the concerted effort of both generating companies and grid facilities. In this regard, a need is emphasised to create a science and technology council dedicated to the development of republic’s energy sector.
Practical issues of arranging the working trip of Russian Federation Minister of Energy Alexander Novak to Tatarstan were also dealt with in the meeting.
