Irina Demina, a columnist for economic and industrial issues of “Republic of Tatarstan” newspaper attended an aviation holiday “I Opt for the Sky”, met and conversed with some of the participants of the holiday.
“I Opt for the Sky” holiday has rapidly become popular, showing mass scale. It is likely that many boys together with the girls eagerly wanted to become pilots or build crafts and helicopters. Sure enough, it took not only the children’s but also the adults’ breath away when a 110-tonne mid-haul TU-214OH jet liner went over their heads in hovering flight. At that, the craft was waggling its wings as if welcoming the “I Opt for the Sky” air show participants, totaling over 5,000 people that gathered together at Kurkachi Airfield, Vysokogorsky District of Tatarstan, just before the Russia’s Air Fleet day.
