Increase in labour capacity: a priority trend for economic growth and competitive enhancement of industrial production

On 10 June 2013, the Tatarstan Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Gulnara Akhmadeyeva granted an interview to 7 Days Programme (TNV Channel) on implementing the targeted programme for the increase in labour efficiency at mechanical engineering and petrochemical enterprises and on developing relevant in-house programmes by the republic’s industrial enterprises.
The President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin set a target to increase the labour efficiency by half by 2018 compared to 2011 indicators. 
For this purpose, the republic has adopted the Targeted Programme entitled “The Increase in Labour Efficiency at Mechanical Engineering and Petrochemical Enterprises for 2013-2016”. The implementation of this Programme is expected to increase the labour efficiency at mechanical engineering enterprises by 1.7 times and to double this indicator at petrochemical enterprises.
