Auto sales of group of companies SOLLERS, which represents brands UAZ, Fiat, Ssang Yong and ISUZU, amounted to 52,430 vehicles in the first half of 2011. This exceeds the result of the same period of 2010 by 53%, when 34,160 vehicles were sold.

On 14 and 15 July 2011, Yekaterinburg will host the Interregional Council of Ministers of Industrial Regions of the Russian Federation. On 29 June 2011, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev presented a budget message for 2012-2014 to the Federal Assembly. According to Dmitry Medvedev, a new economic growth model should be developed over the next few years. This model should be based on private initiative, persistent innovations, effective system of rendering public services, high-quality financial and production infrastructure.

On 28 June 2011, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Zaripov met with Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kazan Rasul Bagernezhad Shayan. During the meeting, the issues of bilateral cooperation were discussed.
