On 21 July 2015, the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade hosted the meeting on issues of engineering centres development in the sphere of mechanical engineering under the chairmanship of Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov. The meeting was attended by executives from the Association of Mechanical Engineers in Naberezhnye Chelny and Trans-Kama region, Kazan State Technical University, Kazan Scientific and Research Institute of Aviation Technology, and ZAO Kazan Giproniiaviaprom.
Head of the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov noted that the regional engineering centres in the sphere of mechanical engineering promote technical upgrading and form the foundation for the innovative development of the industry.
During the meeting, the participants discussed current issues and prospects for development of engineering centres in Tatarstan in the sphere of mechanical engineering and measures of the State support.
On 21 July 2015, Multifunctional Centre for Applied Engineering Qualifications (MCAEQ) project implemented jointly with PAO KAMAZ and the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers was presented to the enterprises of Naberezhnye Chelny and Zakamye region.
MCAEQ is an innovative training centre intended to become an advanced educational platform to acquire basic skills of working professions with up-to-date educational material and methodological base taking into account the experience of international companies.
It is expected that establishment of MCAEQ will be completed by April 2016. Annually, over 2160 people will have training, retraining, and personnel development courses.
On 20 July 2015, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov attended the meeting of the Tatarstan Organizing Committee on preparation to hold the 16th FINA World Aquatics Championships 2015 in Kazan and the 16th FINA World Aquatics Masters Championships. The meeting was chaired by Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov.
On 20 July 2015, the Action Plan to implement the Agreement on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical, Social and Cultural cooperation between Tatarstan and Buryatia was signed in Ulan-Ude. The signatories of the document were Interim Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Head of Buryatia Vyacheslav Nagovitsyn.
Within the framework of the working trip of Interim Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov to Buryatia, the delegation from Tatarstan attended Ilyinsky Woodworking Plant of OAO Baikal Wood Company.
The Tatarstan delegation comprised Head of Tatarstan Presidential Administration Asgat Safarov, Tatarstan Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Rashat Fattakhov, and others.
On 16 July 2015, the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade hosted the meeting of the Best Goods and Services of the Republic of Tatarstan 2015 Contest Organizing Committee that was chaired by Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov. During the meeting, the participants summarized the results of the republic contest.
The head of the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov noted that participation of enterprises in the contest encourages companies to improve the quality of their products and promote competitive products to enter the domestic and foreign markets.

On 17 July 2015, SEZ Alabuga hosted the official opening ceremony of Shchelokov 500kV substation. The ceremony was attended by Russian Minister of Energy Aleksandr Novak, Representative Plenipotentiary of the Russian President in the Volga Federal District Mikhail Babich, Interim Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, and officials from the Tatarstan government authorities.
On 17 July 2015, General Directorate of OAO KamAZ in Naberezhnye Chelny hosted the meeting on issues of gas motor fuel market development in the Volga Federal District.
The meeting was attended by Interim Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Representative Plenipotentiary of the Russian President in the Volga Federal District Mikhail Babich, Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov, Russian Minister of Energy Aleksandr Novak, Russian Minister of Transport Maksim Sokolov, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov, and top officials from the entities of the Volga Federal District.
Interim Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov noted that since 2013 Tatarstan jointly with OAO Gazprom are engaged systematically and on a long-term basis in the development of gas motor fuel market. The agreement on expansion the use of natural gas as a motor fuel was signed between the Tatarstan Government, OAO Gazprom, and OOO Gazprom Gas Engine Fuel. The State programme on the gas motor fuel market development in Tatarstan for 2013-2023 has been adopted.
During the single day of military products' acceptance, which was held in the National Defence Control Centre in Moscow, Russian Helicopters transferred the latest batch of the new Mi-8MTV-5-1 military transport helicopters to the Russian Ministry of Defence. These helicopters were constructed at Kazan Helicopters. Russian Minister of Defence and General of the Army Sergey Shoygu accepted the military products. The official ceremony of transferring the batch of new helicopters by Kazan Helicopters was held in the video format.
The new Mi-8MTV-5-1 helicopters that were delivered to the Russian Ministry of Defence underwent all the necessary tests and were accepted by the customer. Mi-8MTV-5-1 military transport helicopters belong to the famous Mi-8/17 family. These helicopters are constructed to freight and equipment lift with the weight up to 4 tones. These helicopters can also be equipped with missile and gun armament. The Mi-8MTV-5 helicopters and their export version Mi-17V-5 are successfully used by military forces of various countries.
On 15 July 2015, Tatarstan House of Government hosted the meeting of the Council for Monitoring Situation in Turnover of Alcoholic and Alcohol-Containing Products in Tatarstan. The meeting was attended by Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov, and representatives of Tatarstan ministries and agencies.
On 14 July 2015, Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov and Plenipotentiary Representative of the Russian President in the Volga Federal District Mikhail Babich chaired the first meeting of the Council for Industrial Policies of the Volga Federal District held in Ulyanovsk. The meeting was dedicated to the substitution of imports in the manufacturing industry.
The meeting was attended by Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov. He informed about the investment projects that are being implemented in the sphere of import substitution in Tatarstan.
