On 18 March 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov had a meeting with the host of the 7 Days programme at TNV channel Mikhail Lyubimov. The Head of the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade in his interview told about the results of republic`s industrial development in 2015 and outlooks of industrial production in 2016, Tatarstan expertise in energy resource saving, development of main legal draft documents governing the formation and implementation of the industrial policies of the Republic of Tatarstan.

On 18 March 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov chaired a meeting of the Organising Committee of the “Best Goods and Services of the Republic of Tatarstan” Contest. The meeting was attended by top executives of the State Regional Centre for Standardisation, Metrology and Testing in the Republic of Tatarstan, the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the Tatarstan Ministry of Culture.

The representatives of the Organising Committee discussed a new developed concept of holding the republic`s contest organised within the “100 Best Goods of Russia” Programme.

During the meeting, the participants discussed new approaches to the organization of the contest and its holding, as well as proposals for promoting it.

On 18 March 2016, Kazan hosted a plenary session of the 5th All-Russian Convention of Entrepreneurs from Rural Areas of Tatarstan and other Russian Regions.

The event was attended by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Akhmetov, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the “World Congress of Tatars” Rinat Zakirov, Chairman of the Tatarstan Board of Municipal Formations Minsagit Shakirov, about 700 representatives of small businesses, farms and private farms from 36 regions of Russia.

During the meeting, a number of businessmen from various regions of Russia reported on their activities and talked about some of the issues they had faced. Particularly, they raised questions of concessional lending of small business, availability of business support programmes in rural areas, and finding solution for tasks provided by the programme of import substitution, etc.

On 17 March 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov participated in the VTB Bank International Client Conference “Moving to Success. Ahead of Time. Beyond the Distance”.

The event took place at the site of Korston Hotel&Mall and was attended by over 500 top executives and financial directors of enterprises of Tatarstan and cities of the Volga Region, as well as experts, analysts, and representatives of local authorities. The main topics for conversation were the issues of macroeconomic development, current state of the financial market, needs of regional businesses, etc.

On 16 March 2016, the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade hosted a meeting with representatives of the delegation from the Republic of Belarus. The meeting was attended by Tatarstan Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Rashat Fattakhov, Chairman of Bellegprom Nikolai Yefimchik, and representatives of Tatarstan and Belarus light industry enterprises.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation in textile and light industry.

Memorandum of Cooperation between the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade and Bellegprom was signed as well.

On 16 March 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov takes part in the Kama International Innovation and Industry Forum, which takes place in Naberezhnye Chelny from 16 to 18 March 2016.

The programme of the Forum includes exhibitions, plenary session, thematic round table discussions, days of suppliers of car plants and oil companies located in Russia, and state-owned corporations.

On 15 March 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov participated in the meeting between Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Belarus Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov in the Kazan Kremlin.

The parties signed agreements on cooperation between Kazan and Minsk and between Tatarstan Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

On 15 March 2016, Belarus Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov arrived to Tatarstan with his working trip.

At the Kazan International Airport, Andrei Kobyakov was welcomed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, Aide to the Tatarstan President Radik Gimatdinov, representative of the Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kazan Radik Vakhitov, and others.

Within his two-day stay in Tatarstan from 15 to 16 March 2016, Andrei Kobyakov will have a meeting with Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov in the Kazan Kremlin, attend a number of innovative sites and industrial enterprises of Tatarstan, including the Kazan Helicopters, a Regional Engineering Centre of Medical Simulators “Medical Science Centre”.

On 15 March 2016, the implementation of the State Programme “On Energy Saving and Energy Efficiency” was discussed during the meeting of the Tatarstan Government. Following the results of 2015, energy consumption of gross regional product in Tatarstan has decreased by 23.2% compared to the levels of 2007, and the decrease by 2014 amounted to 3%. The task to be achieved by 2020 is to ensure reduction of the energy consumption of the region`s economy by over 16.8%. This information was delivered today by Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov during the meeting of the Tatarstan Government.

On 15 March 2016, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov attended the official opening ceremony of the 17th International Specialised Exhibition “Energy. Resource Saving” which takes place in Kazan.

The business programme includes the 16th International Symposium “Energy. Resource Efficiency. Energy Saving”, scientific and technical conferences, round table discussions, and workshops.

The honorary members of the exhibition`s official opening ceremony were Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Russia’s Deputy Energy Minister Anton Inyutsyn, Kaliningrad Oblast Governor Nikolay Tsukanov, and Volgograd Oblast Governor Andrey Bocharov.
