On 6 May 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov visited Kama State Automotive College and Naberezhnye Chelny Polytechnic College in Naberezhnye Chelny.
The Head of the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade discussed with lecturers and students of educational institutions the process of preparing the Tatarstan team to the final of the WorldSkills Russia National Championship, which will take place from 23 to 27 May in Krasnogorsk (Moscow Oblast).
On 5 May 2016, Nizhnekamsk hosted an organisational meeting dedicated to the of the Chemist’s Day celebrations. The official celebration of the Chemist’s Day in Tatarstan will comprise the showcase of innovative products of sectoral enterprises, awarding of employees and long-service workers of chemical and petrochemical industries, entertainment programme with participation of professional performers, as well as amateur-talent groups from Tatarstan enterprises and educational institutions.
On 6 May 2016, employees of the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade participated in the All-Russian campaign “Saint George's Ribbon”.
During the campaign, millions of people in Russia and other countries of the world attach the Saint George's Ribbon, the symbol of the military glory. By this they demonstrate their respect to soldiers that fought for their motherland and nationwide pride for the Great Victory.
On 5 May 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov visited the Nizhnekamsk branch of the Kama Plant of Polymeric Materials, studied the production process and products.
The Kama Plant of Polymeric Materials is one of the major manufacturers of flexible industrial packages and polymer compounds.
On 5 May 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov visited OOO iPlast, a large enterprise that manufactures industrial large-size plastic containers and packaging.
OOO iPlast was established in 2009. The company is the first Russia’s manufacturer of plastic pallets and large-size plastic containers.
The total area of the company’s production and warehouse facilities is 22,000 square meters. The company annually processes over 40,000 tonnes of raw polymer materials. The output of extruded polypropylene sheet is about 6 million square metres.
The number of employees is 600.
On 5 May 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov visited the Nizhnekamsk Industrial College that provides training of blue-collar employees and experts for tyre production.
OOO Tatneft-Neftekhim Management Company (comprising OAO Nizhnekamskshina, OOO Nizhnekamsk Truck Tyres Plant, OOO Nizhnekamsk All-Steel Cord Tyre Plant, OAO Nizhnekamsktechuglerod, OAO Nizhnekamsk Mechanical Plant, OOO Kama Trading House, OOO Kama Scientific and Technical Centre, etc) remains the main partner of the Nizhnekamsk Industrial College for 40 years.
In 2015, Nizhnekamsk Industrial College was inscribed on the list of Tatarstan resource centres. In this regard, RUB 85 million was allocated for full repair of the building and RUB 44 million for logistic support of vocational and theoretical training.
In March 2016, Nizhnekamsk Industrial College received a status of a specialised competence centre in Industrial Robotics.
Tatarstan is prepared to become a connecting link in expanding the interrelations between Russia and China. It was stated today by Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov in his speech during the Tatarstan-Sichuan Business Forum opened today in Kazan. We remind that the event is held within the working visit of the delegation from the Sichuan Province headed by Communist Party Secretary Wang Dongming.
Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, Director of Sichuan Provincial Development and Reform Committee Tang Limin, and representatives of State authorities and business communities of Tatarstan and China are among the participants of the forum.

“Relations between Tatarstan and China are characterised by a multidimensional strategic partnership,” emphasised Albert Karimov. According to him, the promising areas for partnership are attraction of investors from China to special economic zones and technopolises of the republic, supply and joint production of component parts for buses and cars in Tatarstan, cooperation in the production of tractors and their components, increasing the supply of petrochemicals from Tatarstan to China, as well as the supply of heat, power, and gas equipment to industrial zones and residential areas of the country.
On 4 May 2016, Tatarstan-Sichuan Business Forum started in Kazan. The event is held within the working trip of Communist Party Secretary of the Sichuan Province Wang Dongming to Tatarstan.
The forum is attended by Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, Director of Sichuan Provincial Development and Reform Committee Tang Limin, representatives of State authorities and business communities of Tatarstan and China.
Head of the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade will make a presentation of Tatarstan industrial potential. In particular, he will focus on the current situation of and outlook for trade and economic cooperation between Tatarstan and Sichuan.
According to Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade, the foreign trade turnover between Tatarstan and China amounted to over USD 264 million in 2015.
On 4 May 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov participated in the meeting between Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov and Communist Party Secretary of the Sichuan Province and Director of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress Wang Dongming.
“The best proof that this visit is a serious one is that a large delegation from the Sichuan Province comprises representatives of the business community and government officials,” added Ildar Khalikov.
In turn, Wang Dongming thanked the Tatarstan side for a hearty welcome rendered to the delegation from Sichuan Province. He also expressed his confidence that the cooperation with Tatarstan will be long-term and successful.

On 4 May 2016, within his visit to Kazan, Communist Party Secretary of the Sichuan Province and Director of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress Wang Dongming and other members of the delegation from the Sichuan Province will participate in the Tatarstan-Sichuan Business Forum. During the forum, it is scheduled to sign bilateral agreements on cooperation and to hold B2B meetings between representatives of business communities of Tatarstan and China.
