Today, on 19 July 2016, the Kazan Kremlin hosted the meeting between Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Governor of Saint-Petersburg Georgy Poltavchenko. From the Tatarstan side, the meeting was attended by Chairman of the Tatarstan State Council Farid Mukhametshin, Tatarstan First Deputy Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, Tatarstan Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Almaz Khusainov, and other officials.

Prior to the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov and Georgy Poltavchenko signed an Agreement on trade, economic, scientific, technology, social and cultural cooperation between the Government of Saint-Petersburg and the Republic of Tatarstan.

Among promising areas of cooperation, Tatarstan President mentioned the organisation of tourist exchange and interaction in culture and sport.

The Governor also noted the urgent character of expanding ties in the sphere of education.

Today, on 19 July 2016, the delegation from Saint-Petersburg headed by its Governor Georgy Poltavchenko arrived to Tatarstan.

He was welcomed in the Kazan International Airport by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Tatarstan Acting Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, Tatarstan Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Almaz Khusainov and other officials.

During their stay in Kazan, the delegates from Saint-Petersburg will participate in the Interregional Forum on Cooperation between the Republic of Tatarstan and Saint-Petersburg (event venue: Korston Hotel&Mall) and networking activities.

Today, the Saydashev State Great Concert Hall will host the opening ceremony of the Days of Saint-Petersburg in the Republic of Tatarstan and the concert of performers from Saint-Petersburg.

Furthermore, the meeting between Georgy Poltavchenko and Rustam Minnikhanov is scheduled to be held in extended composition with the participation of delegates from Saint-Petersburg and representatives of the Tatarstan Government.

The Head of the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade underlines that industry is developing due to the expertise and professional work of employees, engineers, and top executives of enterprises. The workers of metallurgical industry have made a significant contribution to the development of domestic industry and strengthening of Tatarstan and Russia’s economy.

In Tatarstan, the index of industrial production constituted 103.2% after a six-month period compared to that of the previous year. That was announced today (on 15 July 2016) by Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov in his interview to the Tatar-Inform Information Agency.

According to Albert Karimov, oil refining output in the republic is growing steadily. A total of 15-16 million tonnes of oil are being currently processed each year. By 2018, it is planned to increase the total output up to 22-23 million tonnes, said the Tatarstan Minister of Industry and Trade.

On 15 July 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov congratulated the personnel of OAO Kazankompressormash on the 65th anniversary of the plant.

During the official ceremony, Albert Karimov handed over the Awards of the Republic of Tatarstan to plant’s employees.

Within the framework of his visit to the plant, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov took part in the official opening of the in-house museum and examined a new production workshop for water jet cutting.

On 15 July 2016, the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade saw the follow up meeting on the Republic`s Contest “Best Goods and Services of the Republic of Tatarstan” 2016.

The awardees of the 2016 Contest are a total of 83 products and services. They will be recommended for the nomination to the federal stage of the “100 Best Russian Products” Programme.

It will be recalled that the Republic of Tatarstan has been holding leading positions among the constituent entities of the Russian Federation in the “100 Best Russian Products” Programme over the last 7 years.

On 14 July 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov met representatives of AO RUSNANO and Advenira Enterprises (USA).

During the meeting in the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade, the participants discussed the development of cooperation between the US company and petrochemical and mechanical engineering sectors in Tatarstan, as well as the opportunity of placing Advenira Enterprises facilities in the territory of Technopolis Himgrad.

On 14 July 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov held a meeting on the development of children's technical creative work in the Republic of Tatarstan.

The meeting was attended by Aide to the Tatarstan President Albert Nafigin, representatives of the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Tatarstan Ministry of Economy, the Republic`s Centre for Extracurricular Activities, and PO Zarnitsa.

During the meeting, the participants discussed the issues of children`s technical creative work development.

On 13 July 2016, Karabash village in Bugulma District saw a traditional Oil Summit of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The Oil Summit-2016 was attended by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Russian Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology and Head of the Federal Agency for Subsoil Use Yevgeny Kiselyov, Russian Deputy Minister of Energy Kirill Molodtsov, Chairman of the Tatarstan State Council Farid Mukhametshin, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, top executives of Tatarstan petrochemical enterprises, top officials of ministries and agencies, and heads of district administrations of the republic.

During the Oil Summit, presentations were made by Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, Director General of PAO Tatneft Nail Maganov, Consultant to Tatarstan President for Oil and Gas Field Development Renat Muslimov, and others.

On 12 July 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov made a report entitled “Unmanned Transport Vehicles as a Part of ‘Industry 4.0’” at the meeting of the Coordination Council for Industrial Sector under the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade dedicated to “Industrial Internet Development in Russia”. The meeting was chaired by Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov.

When presenting the report, Albert Karimov noted that “Industry 4.0” is a transition to Smart Factories and transformation of industrial elements into active Internet users.
