On 19 October 2016, within the working visit of the Tatarstan delegation headed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov to Germany, Dusseldorf hosted the meeting with Werner Dornscheidt, President and CEO of Messe Dusseldorf Exhibition Centre.

The meeting was held at Messe Dusseldorf within the K-2016 International Trade Fair for Plastics and Rubber.

During the meeting, Tatarstan President noted that Russia at the exhibition is represented by Tatarstan, one of the leading industrial Russian regions. He said that the participants to the exhibition are such companies as Nizhnekamskneftekhim, Kazanorgsintez, and the joint stand of the Kama Innovative Territorial Production Cluster “InnoKam”.

On 19 October 2016, within the working visit to Germany, Tatarstan delegation headed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting in Dusseldorf with representatives of business community of North Rhine-Westphalia. The event was held within the K-2016 International Trade Fair for Plastics and Rubber.

Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov made a presentation of the Tatarstan industrial potential. He also reminded that the foreign trade turnover in 2015 totalled over EUR 1 billion and, judging from the previous years, Tatarstan and Germany have a great potential for increasing their trade turnover.

Representatives of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency and SEZ Alabuga also made their presentations of the republic’s investment potential.

On 19 October 2016, Tatarstan delegation headed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting in Dusseldorf with representatives of German-based companies such as Thyssen Krupp, Wilo, SMS Group.

During negotiations with representatives of the German companies, Rustam Minnikhanov noted that these companies are well known in the world for their high quality products in the European and international markets.

Rustam Minnikhanov suggested organising a visit of representatives from these companies to Tatarstan to make presentations of their opportunities and find partners, as well as to create a working group that will discuss promising projects in more detail and set the possible areas for cooperation.

During the meeting, parties reached an agreement on possible visit by representatives of German-based companies to Tatarstan in December 2016.

On 19 October 2016, the meeting under the chairmanship of the Russian State Secretary and Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Viktor Evtukhov was held in the videoconference format on the topic “Development and Expansion of the Retail Market Format. What Should be Changed in the Legislation?”. The meeting was attended by top officials of the ministries and agencies from Russian regions.

During the meeting, participants discussed topical issues of retail markets’ functioning in current conditions and also made proposals on making amendments to the current legislation aimed at maintaining such format of trade as retail markets.

From 18 to 19 October 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, being a part of the Tatarstan delegation headed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, is in a working trip in Dusseldorf.

The main mission of the visit is to participate in the K-2016 International Trade Fair for Plastics and Rubber, which is No.1 in chemical technologies and is held once in three years.

On 8 October 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov participated in the meetings between Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko, and Belarus Prime Minister Andrey Kobyakov. The meetings were held within the working visit of Tatarstan delegation to Minsk, headed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.

One of the priorities is cooperation in petrochemical sector.

During the meeting, parties emphasised high level of interaction reached in various sectors, what could stand as an example for cooperation development with other regions.

During the meeting held with Belarus Prime Minister Andrey Kobyakov, parties signed an Action Plan for cooperation development in 2017-2020. The signatories to this document were Belarus Prime Minister Andrey Kobyakov and Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.

Cooperation between Tatarstan and Belarus is traditionally developing in petrochemical sector, mechanical engineering, agro-industrial sector, light industry, and other spheres.

On 18 October 2016, Russian Deputy Minister of Energy Kirill Molodtsov and Deputy Minister of Energy, Industry and Natural Resources of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Nayef Al-Uteybi chaired the 1st session of the Subgroup for Technical Cooperation of the Russian-Saudi Arabian Working Group for Cooperation in Oil and Gas.

The event was also attended by representatives of Russian scientific and research institutions, including Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas, top officials of the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade, companies of oil and gas sector, such as PAO NK Rosneft, PAO Gazprom Neft, PAO NOVATEK, PAO Tatneft, PAO LUKOIL, OOO Gazprom Georesurs.

The main agenda for discussion were issues of cooperation between two world’s largest oil producing countries in applying new technologies to petrochemical sector, including exploration and extraction of hydrocarbons and disposal of associated gas.

From 17 to 18 October 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, as a member of Tatarstan delegation headed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, is having a two-day working visit to Belarus.

On 18 October 2016, within the delegation’s stay in Minsk, the meetings are scheduled between Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko, Belarus Prime Minister Andrey Kobyakov, as well as business discussions.

Tatarstan delegation will make a tour of such Belarus-based industrial enterprises as OAO Management Company of Belkommunash Holding, OAO Management Company of Minsk Motor Plant Holding and will study the activities of the High Technologies Park.

On 17 October 2016, the meeting was held between Tatarstan delegation headed by Tatarstan President and representatives of Tatar societal organisations in Belarus.

On 17 October 2016, during the session of the Tatarstan Anti-Corruption Commission held under the chairmanship of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, participants considered anti-corruption issues in everyday life.

The session was attended by Tatarstan State Councillor Mintimer Shaimiev, Chairman of the State Council Farid Mukhametshin, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, representatives of the Prosecution Office, top officials of ministries, agencies and societal organisations, as well as heads of districts of the Republic of Tatarstan.

A main task of the session, according to Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, is seeking reasons for occurrence of corruption factors and preparing additional tools for anti-corruption activities.

From 16 to 17 October 2016, Neftche Palace of Culture in Almetyevsk hosted the regional stage of the annual open Republic’s Working Youth Creativity TV Festival ‘Nashe Vremya – Beznen Zaman’.

The 3rd regional stage in Almetyevsk was represented by 45 enterprises and organisations from 10 districts: Almetyevsky, Yutazinsky, Novosheshminsky, Cheremshansky, Aznakayevsky, Nurlatsky, Spassky, Leninogorsky, Nizhnekamsky, and Naberezhnye Chelny.

The gala concert of the regional stage was attended by top officials of the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade and Executive Committee of Almetyevsky District.

The 4th regional stage will be held in Kazan from 21 to 22 October 2016 in UNICS Culture and Sports Complex. The final gala concert of the festival is scheduled to be held on 13 November 2016.
