He also described the development of human resources and implementation of measures for import substitution in manufacturing industry of Tatarstan.
Tatarstan Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov noted that the main mission of the Composite Battle World Cup Kazan-2016 to be held from 26 to 29 October 2016 is to popularise the composite materials sector among young engineers and students as one of the priority areas for development of Russian manufacturing industry and its human resources.
The site of the contest will host master classes for all comers. Participants will be able to explore the process of creating an article from composites and to make a wakeboard from the materials of the future. The entrance to all sites of the Composite Battle World Cup Kazan-2016 is free.

The award was delivered by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov to Director General of AO Kazan Motor-Building Production Association Damir Karimullin. AO Kazan Motor-Building Production Association was established in 1931 and is one of the largest Russia’s mechanical engineering enterprises. These days Kazan Motor-Building Production Association is celebrating the 85th Anniversary since its foundation.
On 13 October 2016, a meeting of the Presidium of the Tatarstan Investment Council was held under the chairmanship of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.
The meeting was attended by Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, and other members of the Presidium of the Tatarstan Investment Council. Participants of the session considered seven projects, presented by investors.
Participants of the meeting have also considered investment projects applying for renting land plots without bidding for compliance with the criteria established by the legislation.

The plenary session was attended by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Governor of the Bank of Russia Elvira Nabiullina, Chairman of the Board at PAO Sberbank German Gref, top officials of Tatarstan ministries and agencies, and top executives of financial institutions and enterprises in Tatarstan.
Prior to the forum, guests made a tour of partner companies’ exhibition in the hall. The guests also visited the FinTech alley, where Russian start-up companies were represented. These companies implement projects in financial technologies that facilitate the development of electronic interaction at the Russia’s financial market.
The plenary session of the forum was dedicated to the topic “Financial Market in 2026: Challenges for Business and Regulator”. The session was moderated by Chairman of the Board at PAO Sberbank German Gref.
On 11 October 2016, Ashgabat hosted the Turkmenistan-Tatarstan Business Forum with the participation of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Deputy Chairman of the Turkmenistan Cabinet of Ministers Batyr Atdayev. The forum was moderated by Chairman of the Turkmenistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Dovran Khodzhayev.
In his opening speech, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov greeted all representatives of Turkmenistan businesses, who are interested in the development of cooperation with Tatarstan.
The Turkmenistan-Tatarstan Business Forum also heard speeches by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia in Turkmenistan Aleksandr Blokhin, Turkmenistan Minister of Economy and Development Batyr Bazarov, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, Turkmenistan Minister of Motor Transport Maksat Aydogdyev, Director General of PAO Kamaz Sergey Kogogin, Chairman of Turkmenneft State Concern Tyachdurdy Begdzhanov, Director General of PAO Tatneft Nail Maganov, and Chairman of Turkmenistan Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Aleksandr Dadayev.
The plenary session ended with signing the Programme of Cooperation between Tatarstan Government and Turkmenistan Government in Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technology, Cultural, Humanitarian and Other Spheres for 2017-2019 and the Memorandum for Scientific and Technology Cooperation between Tatarstan Academy of Sciences and Turkmenistan Academy of Sciences.
Meetings between representatives of business communities were also held at the end of the Forum.
