Head of the Republic of Khakassia Valentin Konovalov had a meeting today with Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov. The meeting took place at the Kazan Kremlin. The Khakassia delegation has arrived in Kazan to participate in the 9th Russia, a Country of Sports international forum.
President Minnikhanov particularly praised the efforts of Khakassia authorities in preserving historical and cultural treasures. He noted that Tatarstan was also engaged in extensive work in this area and suggested developing exchange programmes.
Trade relations between the regions are developing on the basis of the Cooperation Agreement signed in 2016. Today, Tatarstan sells spare parts for KAMAZ trucks, diesel fuel and petrol, tyres, nitrogen fertilisers, medical tools and equipment, medicines, and various food products. In turn, Khakassia supplies bentonite powder, coal, ready-to-cook meat products, etc. According to the President, there is every opportunity of increasing trade volumes.
Rustam Minnikhanov and Valentin Konovalov also stressed the prospects for cooperation in developing a comfortable urban environment, digitalisation, education and science, as well as expanding interaction in tourism.
Finally, the Tatarstan President presented Valentin Konovalov with a medal in honour of the 100th anniversary of the TASSR.
