President Minnikhanov: Next year’s budget require us to work very hard

A meeting of the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers was held today by Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin. Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in it.

The meeting was devoted to the main parameters of the forecast of republic’s socio-economic development for the period of 2022-2024, forecast of the consolidated budget of Tatarstan for 2022-2024 and the budget of the Tatarstan’s Territorial Fund of Compulsory Medical Insurance for 2022 and for the period of 2023 and 2024.

According to Pesoshin, the forecast for the republic’s socio-economic development was based on a baseline scenario for the development of the Russian economy and on the forecast data of republic’s enterprises, sectoral ministries, and municipalities. Estimates have been made for the development parameters of industries and the social sphere in the medium term, with account for trends in the Russian and global economies, as well as factors affecting economic growth potential.

Rustam Minnikhanov noted that the republic saw increase in economic activity this year. Positive changes have been recorded in production, trade, and construction.

Next year’s budget will be very tight, the Tatarstan President stressed. He instructed the Cabinet to ensure strict financial discipline and efficient use of the available reserves. First of all, this is about reducing tax arrears which amount to RUB 8.9 billion. Rustam Minnikhanov also called for active promotion of entrepreneurship.
