Today, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov chaired a meeting on staffing of industrial and trade companies in Tatarstan.
The meeting was attended by First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Tatarstan Andrey Pominov with a brief overview of the education system, Deputy Minister of Labour Employment and Social Security of Tatarstan Klara Tazetdinova with an overview of the labour market, Deputy Minister of Economy Natalia Kondratova, President and Director General of the Association of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Aleksandr Lavrentyev and Aleksey Pakhomov, deputy heads of executive committees of Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny and Zelenodolsk, and others.
The discussion was focused on the progress in the potential labour market in industrial sectors of Tatarstan and prospects for attracting human resources to the sector from other regions. Among the most popular occupations in the industrial sector are blue-collar jobs (turners, fitters, milling operators, welders, machine operators, equipment adjusters, electricians, etc.).
At the end of the meeting, the participants voiced their proposals on the issues of staffing industrial enterprises in Tatarstan and on the need to create conditions for interaction between employers and educational institutions in order to optimise the educational process with account for the requirements to upgrade professional skills.
