Developments within the global climate agenda were presented today by Tatneft at an exhibition of innovations as part of the oil summit of Tatarstan (Almetyevsk).
Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov is taking part in the oil summit. He studied innovative ideas of Tatneft and partner companies.
For example, Rustam Minnikhanov was shown a recycling kiosk for plastic bottles. Tatneft installs such kiosks at its filling stations.
The stand of Tatneft shows the technology of CO2 injection into the reservoir to enhance oil recovery. Two other innovations that reduce the carbon footprint are also associated with the reservoir pressure maintenance (RPM) system. One project provides for reconstruction of the entire chain, including replacement of metal-plastic water pipelines with fibreglass pipelines and replacement of German pumping units with more efficient ones produced by Spetstekhnika Almetyevsk. As a result, specific power consumption is expected to decrease 2.3 times and the efficiency factor will increase to 47%.
Director General of TANECO Ilshat Salakhov spoke about Tatneft’s transition to circular economy through Responsible Consumption and Production (SDG 12). Renewable energy projects were also presented for Affordable and Clean Energy (SDG 7).
